It’s been a while… 😛
I did some minor adjustment, ditched the VHST28 and AM6 Vforce. Adapted the engine to KX85 Vforce3 with VHSH 30mm carb.. Dyno the engine to 27hp on the rear wheel.
Tried on 201 meter, but the cylinder studs that goes through the carter also transported cooling water into the cylinder, so the engine ran very badly. Now I have sold the 70cc kit.. Adapted the carter for 2fast 100cc crankshaft and 2fast 100cc cylinder.
A small video.

I got my 2 Polini gearboxes now.
One built with old-type Malossi gearsand the second one with polini gears. There is alot of friction with the Malossi gears, worst every third-ish turn on primary but overall, too much friction. Some parts nott possible to turn shaft by hand, but easy with wrench.
The one with Polini gears is very very smooth. I’ll need to but new set of Malossi Gears I guess. 🙁

Thanks! 2 hubs ordered 😀
Hello Jelle and TW1 – I see that you have been testing out the Polini gearbox and it seems overall you were satisfied in August. Haven’t ran into any troubles yet?
This forum is among others replaced with facebook, whatsapp and other platforms. I guess more people in NL have tried the gearbox along with the Malossi. Whats peoples opinions today? Is the lack of ventilation hole a problem?
Sproeier Database Behandelt alleen oude DEPS.
Mijn motor is vol Malossi, DEPS 2019 3p, PHBG 19mm – kompressietest leven 10.5Kg
Vario met Malossi 1:9 + Malossi koppeling (102mm)Ik heb het gevoel dat de kracht aan de top ontbreekt. Het wil niet zo veel variëren als ik rij, maar als het op de steun staat varieert het volledig.
Sproeier is 92.

Uppgraded to hydraulic rear brakes.
Not the Italy version, but instead the German version which gives the oppertunity to use rotors made for example KTM, Husqvarna, Husaberg. I went with Brembo originals.

I have the “PVR” pullstrter for mine. The nut is availble with M8 (standard) and M10 (Malossi).
Depending on how your nut is designed, you can drill it and remake the threads with M10 instead.
If you want to take the easy way out you can buy the parts frrom Italy, contact “Paolo Pvr” on Facebook. We’ve had helmplicht in Sweden since 1978, think it saved a lot of lives over the years 🙂
At VCM 2019 I was kind of surprised that helmet wasn’t used more often 😀
For me, use of helmet is just as natural as bushing teeths in the evening, but then again it’s been mandatory all my life.Didn’t manage to get rid of the false air / idle issue last year.. So I have split the carter and remade the gasket, hopefully this will solve the high idle issue.. Running 92 JET, so it can’t be a problem with that.
Interestering to see if there’s still a vacuum issue with air in the hose. Also overtightened the top manifold screw last year, to I need to re-thread it, will go for M7 or M8 instead of M6.

Yes, imports! Happened in the course of about 6 months – I looked at the ones in NL but could not find the way to get the ones from marktplaats 🙂 The moment I started looking for local ones, prices here in Swe went absurd. Where are you located if no secret?
Stockholm/Tyresö, no secret. 🙂
Parts are often no problem to buy at Marktplaats, but I have gotten scammed twice last year so I haven’t bought anything from Marktplaats lately.I usually buy alot from JMPB, fast shipping and alot of parts. Otherwise Twostroke and Mopedrenovering in Sweden are good options too.
The DR is however availble in Sweden, I have good experience with Mopedrenovering:
https://www.mopedrenovering.se/veteranmopeddelar/baghee/cylinder-topp-kolv/cylinder-63cc-ciao-43-mm-10mm-dr.htmlHi Peter,
I guess you’ve imported thoose mix-ciaos to Sweden? Since they weren’t sold on our market.
No licence plate required as you state, but you still need the “typintyg” for the mopeds to be road legal.
Not saying that I following that very strictly at all, but tecnically it’s in the books. 🙂
Thoose who attended VCNL meet 2019 might remember our stacked Caddy with Dutch Vespas going to Sweden 😯Don’t know if you already a member of “Vi som åker piaggio ciao” on Facebook, but theres about 1800 Swedish members. If you’re not already in, join the group. 🙂
Thanks!
Hmm, is the regulator 2 independant channel? Since you have both Yellow and Red from the Malossi stator going into the regulator.
I thought the regulator only could handle 1 input? You are correct, Previous owner messed with my wiring harness earlier. The stator colors are still intact, so those colors are matching the Diagram.
Yes, the Malossi regulator.
If I’m not mistaken, yellow and blue are positive (+) and brown is ground (-) and also the single cable that normally grounds to the engine block is ground/negative.
I will only setup head light, rear light, brake light and signal horn. Original functionality.
Ordered 12V bulbs, but didnät find any apropriate signal horn, so I will test my luck with the 6V horn and see if it lasts.
