I agree with zevenenergie, it’s not fair to compare cast to CNC even though they both have pros and cons.
In the CNC case you need larger amount of material which mostly are dead milled and useless, while casting you only consume the correct amount of material. So material cost is much higher.

I have realized that the reed valve needs more room, so I redesigned the inlet. Instead of covering the crank it’s a more Malossi C-One inspired reedintake. I hear you, but if I inclinde the bracket, I must also raise it.. If I raise it I will get bigger volume in the carter = less crank case compression.. I think I will go with this design.. One day I will hopefully test it on Dyno, then I’ll eloborate with both intake rubbers but also VL18 vs Vforce3 membraan.. I think the VL18 is a good choice…[Lees meer]

@zevenenergie, No I’m using Autodesk Inventor.. But it’s basically the same thing. 🙂
@jaffabaffa, yes that is indeed a chapter of its own, there will be pretty decent amount of power packed into the frame so there will be need for reinforcements anyway.

Yes, It’s too much angle on the carb… Dellorto says max 30 degrees, but 0-20 is preferred!
This manifold is a TPR for AM6.. TPR has one for horizontal where the rubber is more angled.. I have ordered this rubber and hopefully it will be perfect and it doesn’t incline negative.I will fit the motor in the Ciao before I mill the final carter, but…[Lees meer]

Cylinder have been ordered, it will be 2 weeks before I get it… It will be tuned before it leaves the shop 😮 😮
Anyway, I started to test fit some parts, so far so good! There are 1 thing I noticed so far and it’s the angle of carburator which is too steep.. This intake is a Top performance for AM6.. The rubber for the same type intake but for…[Lees meer]

@zevenenergie, Next step is to testfit crankshaft, membraan, intake, carb ignition and so on, to make sure there are no collisions (collisions in both parts and my brain)..
The step after that is to get me a cylinderkit so that I can make sure the cylinder fits with that thing pointing out in front of the membraan and also…[Lees meer]

Goal, I don’t know.. I like to build stuff and thats probably the main goal.. Hell, I remember when I was 15 and immortal (atleast I thought i was), even then a 43mm+13mm felt like a death wish on a ciao when peaking speed :D, and now 18 years later I don’t think this ahve changed, It might even have gotten worse 😀

@Martino: Hehe, so you say I should have gone off with Malossi instead? 🙂 I really liked the modularity of the S6R/T, and it looked sexy with the CNC head instead of the more common cast aluminum and by the round shape I imagined that it will make the fittinnside the Ciao easier.

Hello,
Anyone who owns both a standard Ciao P AND a SI who can help me with measurment?
I’d like to know the measurment between Crankshaft axle and variomatic axle.
Ciao Snaar with 100mm pulley = 975mm
SI snaar with 100mm pulley = 11501150-975/2 = 87,5mm
Is it correct that SI length between axles are 87,5mm longar than Ciao P?
