Inside of the other half should be finnished upcoming days.. But it’s just a mirror so it’s basically the same.
3D printed mockup parts are finnished, will test them this weekend.

Made a visit to carter yesterday.. Here we can see that the engineer (me) have been drunk again, the VL18 reedvalve is one hell of a big reed membraan, it will need a raiser to not hit the crankshaft..
Will order a V-force3 membraan and also a raiser.. I think the V-force don’t open as much, because of more opening area.

Yes, thats probably how we’ll do it. Will need to make a plate with same hole pattern så we can bolt it onto it.

1 side of the first half is more or less finnished, chamfered the bearing entry and dowel pin entry.
No we just need to figure out how to flip the piece and re-align it within decent tolerance. 😀

I agree, nice to see it come alive.. although there’s alot left still. Put some fine cuts on it today, and started out the cylinder boring, holes for the dowel pins and chamfer at the bearing seat as seen on movie.

Don’t know.. this Ciao won’t be finished if I know myself right 😀
Could buy a 1 way flight ticket, buy a Ciao in NL attend VCM, then ride it home to Sweden, haha.Last toolpath fortoday is finished.

We used Triboron on 2-stroke 23cc Zenoah engines on RC cars that revved 22.000 RPM.
The piston bearing kept failing mid race season. The iPone or Motul kart oil made the engines last atleast the full season.This was 2012-2013, perhaps the formula have been improved. But I’ll probably not use it anymore 🙂

Thanks, but honestly it ain’t that hard! Fusion 360 from Autodesk is a free software and quite easy to use. I started out with Inventor (same as Fusion, but not free) same time as when I started the carter, no previous experience. Fusion can also generate G-code, if you have access to a CNC machine.

I’m awaiting my CNC operator to start mill the case, he has done abot 50% of the toolpaths needed so still alot of work left. Meanwhile, I have cadded up the EBR fork, RPM caliper and the beginning of the hub.. Thanks guys, Found some italians using a BX39 belts earlier, however it’s out of spec regarding angle and height.. Also it’s not a belt made for Variator in the beginning, I think it was belt for coolant fans in cars. The variated speed belts are often referred as “VS” in the product names.

Anyone have the Axle-to-axle for Ciao? tried to measure my frame and the Cadded engine and if I’m not mistaken, axle-to-axle on Ciao should be 375mm.
That would result in that SI is 95mm longer than Ciao P, if Seru.ch measurments on SI are correct.
