Thanks for your advice, but it seems difficult to find it also in italy, and I remembered you guys! This great community.
I realized my profile is brand new,so I will update it in while.
Thaks a lot also to you Crullie 😉 but yep…I need it standard, at least could be 44 stroke, but standard counterweights.I’ll wait if someone come up with something.
Greatz to everyone!Hi Javad, sorry for the breakdown.
You broke it, in the same way I did, and is used to .I think the problem is the key hole.
Probably it’s due to the little movements that the key does into the hole, and this can cause a little crack.
After several runs, the crack develops into the shaft, and than brake it down.otherwise , if you can find a Simo side inlet, you can combine it with the standard half cranckcase , so that you can use also a 1313 dell’orto carburetor.
In my opinion this combination should be the best.
The only difficulties is that you have to set up the two carburetors very well, in order to get the best throttel response.Hi Speed!
Nice to see that you still have my cylinder.
If I’ve understood a bit of dutch, I can say that mine was
one of the last simonini’s stock.
Infact I remember that the surface coating is differnt from the first series.
If I don’t mistake the first one where chromed instead of nikasil one.The dark colour is also due to the special oil that I used.
About The utilaat port , I’ve only enlarged ( if my mind isn’t letting me down).
SO I didn’t rise the hight.
Because I was looking just for much more middle and low revs power.
Hope to be helpful.;)hansieb :
@piontekYou mean jet size 50 ? With this setup:
41mm DR
original carters
original crank shaft
1212 carb opened up till to 13mm or something more.
giannelli mega or leovince exhaust
Variomatic transmission made of polini utah and original clutch.
electronic ignition with lightened flywheel. This needs like a 64-66 jet.
Well….now I have the normal clutch with the pulley.
I haven’t allready mounted the variomatic.
The carb. is the original one 1212.
I ‘ve bored the inlet manifold of the carter up to 13 with the intention of mounting a 1313 maybe in
the next future.Regarding the jet, I agree with you infact I started with a 62 but was too much.
Now I gotta a problem:boos
Today after several attempts, I’ve started the engine.
I had mounted a gigleur N°50 on the 1212 dell’orto.
The inlet manifold has been enlarged up to 13mm, but not worked according to the flux.
The fact is…that the engine always starts at the first try, but I can’t accelerate
because it becomes to reduce the rpm.
It’s like the engine can’t increase the rpm when I accelarate.
The spark is always wet of gasoline, but I think that the gigleur’s size is correct. The spark is an NGK br8hs, I’ve tried with n° 5 and also a nippo denso n°7.
But the result is the same as well.Another particular is that when I pull the choke, the engine has good minimum rpms.
But when I leave it, suddenly starts to reduce the strokes, and the sound is irregular till to die.:(SO…I NEED A HELP FROM YOU GUYS.
I don’t know if is the uncorrect N° of the spark or something else.the air filter is a polini for 1313 dell’orto. Could be this one the guilty?
Too much air?what kind of ignition do you have?
yeah I know.;) Is a good crank… for what I’m going to do.
here we have a 1212 bored to 13mm with a malox. top end
an old kind polini 41mm head and a MDP cranckshaft.Javad :
You know what happened to your last flywheel, right?
Because you milled the top part, the wheel gets very thin, and with the holes it gets realy weak.
Also because it is still a heavy flywheel with 1,1 kg there will be a lot of force on the little parts that are left on the top part. There is a big chance this will happen: http://www.vespa-ciao.nl/forums.php?m=posts&q=11650&d=450
Scroll down to the first picture.Btw, wile you’re at it, check out the last page of my perso to see how I fixed the hole in the carter I bought from you.
WTF happened to your block???
How did you do it?
When I sold it to you , the hole was a bit smaller of the one you got there.
I just put lots of epox to ensure a higher endurance.
You also breakdown the flywheel, I used your engine with all the attention , and never pushed over the limit.
Itsn’t the first time that I modify a flywheel like this, and I never had problem. This time I ‘ve also made a sort of balance.
I’m very displesed for your engine I hope you can repair it.:( -
