:: Very hard compression on my Polini Evo Ciao?
-
Hey everyone!
As the title says, it is almost impossible to start my Ciao, the one time I actually got it started was when I sat down on the Ciao and my brother pushed me 40-50 meter a long the road.
How can I fix this?
I got a normal clutch, with normal springs on it, it’s a Polini Evolution engine with a 46 mm polini cylinder.
BTW I have bought the Simonini clutch house, but it seems like nothing fits in it, why?
Thanks!

Do you use choke? It can be crucial on 19mm dell’orto’s. Also, what size is your main jet?
I had no problems transferring the piaggio clutch parts to the simonini housing.

do you mean tou have too much compression?
do you use the decompression handle while running?
is your V-belt tensioned?

Yea sorry, I mean compression,
i think the problem is in the clutch, the clutch has a hard time to make the grab and rotate the piston/flywheel
But when the clutch is too tight, there compression all the time.
i had the same problem, with my ciao 25kmh engine, it could not stard the dam thing.
changed engine to 45kmh And i replaced the spring’s on the clutch with polini green once instead of origional.
I have the polini springs in my inventory, so I will change the standard springs with the green ones. Thanks so far guys!
Another thing, I got that horrible Tecno Reverse Exhaust, it sucks! So would it be better to change it with the Polini Top One?
