I think the 13mm is the width. I found a couple places that have 13mm x 950mm belts that are 10mm thick. I’m going to order a couple and I’ll let you know how they work. I think they will work. The Malossi performance belts for 100mm pulleys are 6.5mm thick. Thanks for all of your help!!

I’ll pull my clutch apart this weekend and see what the springs look like. I hope they will be like the normal clutch springs because I have a source for them here in the US.

I’m sure that it is original. I doubt if there are many imitation vespa variators in New Mexico. Thanks for all of your help!

I double checked my pipe and I believe it is the Techno with no restrictor. I was able to push a wire from the silencer all the way to the chamber with no problems. I would post a picture but I don’t know how to post a picture into the forum. Anyway, the Techno pipe will have to do for now. Thanks for the info.

Yes, I know that the Proma Circuit is a good exhaust but they are not available to buy. That is what I thought I was buying when I got these imposter Techno circuits. I guess I’m a sucker! Did Proma Go out of buisness? Does anyone know if they will become available again? What other exhausts are good with a variator, pedals, and a center kick stand?

I think that you are right! I bought two of them from ScooterTuning.ch and they were supposed to be Proma circuits. The chamber and the silencer looks like the Techno and the stinger or tube from the chamber to the silencer is bent like the Proma. Now I’m pissed! I’ll post a picture of the one that isn’t mounted.

So the 25km/hr crank opens and closes the air inlet earlier tan the 45km/hr crank but the amount of time that the inlet is open is the same? I’ll run your article trough a translator and study it. Thanks!

I would say that almost all Americans are aware of WWII and Hitler. Our educational system is bad but not THAT bad. It is true that all of us are surrounded by people who appear to be quite dumb and unfortunately the percentage of these dumb people seems to get larger by the day.

Thanks for the heads up Arvid. The motor that I am planning to put the DR kit on came with a Vespa SI head so I’m guessing that (A) it is from a Vespa SI or Bravo and (B) it is the 45km/hr version. I do have a Ciao that is the 25km/hr version so that information is good to know. What are the differences between the cranks and motors for 25km/hr…[Lees meer]

That exhaust is a Proma Circuit. It had a Polini Country on it when I bought it.

Thanks hansieb for the link. I checked it out and Arvid cut his crank 3mm and 8.5mm. That is close to the Malossi spec of 5mm and 10mm. Depending on how much I enlarge the air inlet to the case, I’ll shoot for somewhere close to those specs. Thanks a lot!
I’m still open to other recommendations too if anyone has them.

Thanks for the translation!! Very helpful.
Yes, New Mexico is in the south west United States. Even a lot of Americans think it is part of Mexico though. I have been told that I speak very good English and been asked if I have a green card many times by other Americans.

Thanks for the replies. I am referring to grinding down the crank for letting more air in. I don’t think I would be comfortable grinding on the cylinder itself.
