I think that 6 g rolls are already included in the new malossi multivar set, so it shuold be fine with 6 g?
Is there any difference with roller weight according to my 90 mm rear disc?

Actually, the ignition is not realy new, maybe I’ve not taken the right words in presentation , but I bougt an old one and recover it (new wires).

I agree with you about port matching between DR 43 cylinder and original piaggio crankases. :thumbAt the end I change my mind and made main and boost ports from DR43 to ori crankases and fill the differences with chemical metal – liquid alu.

Which thickness is than ideal for making homemade gaskets, so that won’t be a problem with lowering the compression ratio and porting time.

I will do the job like you tell me to do. No epoxy/liquid metal, home made base gasket and widened the existing original ports and two boost extra on the original crankases according DR EVO cylinder.

I’m questioning this because the ports on original crankases are different shape (triangular) then the D shape ports on DR EVO. The DR cylinder has a different base – bottom sealing area then original piaggio cylinder.

If I leave this original triangular ports on crankases and just widen them to DR EVO I’m afraid that the sealing…[Lees meer]

I’m asking this because I’ve heard that malossi is very strong – long life belt versa other producers . I don’t know which producer for vario belt (950 mm lenght)for 90 mm vario is the best solution to buy.Maybe some advice which vario belt for 90mm vario, I know the lenght is 950 mm.

I thought that when I will reasembled and renewed the whole engine it would be fine that I also enlarge the carb intake to fi 13mm, because maybe in the future I will buy a 13/13. Do you think that this is not good if I use a 12/12 carb and fi 13mm intake? What about the main jet , I think 62 or more?

your engine is fragile when its cold so when you run it at top speed with a cold engine you will damage it
overheating is not because of hi compression but when jou mount a small jett

your gas air mixture should be a bit rich, then it can run for many miles

Ritze, what you excatly mean with this “don`t floor it when it is stil cold”. So you think that there is no need to be afraid for overheating because of increased compression with new 43 kit?:con

My question wasn’t about the case matching (cilinder to crankase) but i just want to know if there is necessary any work on cilinder ports in the core of the cylinder( grind sharp edges etc.), preparation work or I can just mount the new cylinder kit.

What about the increased compression ratio and possible overheating ??:?

The malossi is rubish quality i won’t recommend it.

The DR is a good cylinder and also the Olympia (old type DR) is a good fit with good quality.

So you reccomend me an OLYMPIA rather thn malossi?? Why do you thinh that malossi is rubish, just answer?

a lot of people drive the DR Evo, i am fairly sure most people prefer the DR over the Malossi.
maybe the port dont match that well, but the DR is really fast out of the box, and a lot cheaper.

The decompression does fit, the special decompression sets are for DEPS cilinder heads only

If it happens that I have so called belgian inlet (12 mm) do you think that this is sufficient for 13/13 and malossi airfilter and no need to widening the inlet and window inside the carter.
