My clutch has has no holes in, the spring will sit nice in the clutch with those bits cut off.
Thank’s for your help, i’ll go and put it all together now!

O.k, thank’s for that, the Malossi instructions are crap, they will be usefull to start the fire!
Also, do I need to grind off those bit’s of the yellow spring that stick out about 5mm from each end?
my old spring doesn’t have them.

O.k. thank’s for that, this engine went well in my Ciao, but that’s just got black Malossi springs in the clutch and an 80 poelie at the back, I know nothing about setting up a vario,
    Martin.

Thanks guys, I had been looking at pictures of the speed engine and I could see the port openings in the Polini crankcase were alot different to the ones in the bottom of my Malossi64.5.
I don’t mind doing some milling, I had to do loads of work to my standard crankcase to make the Malossi ports match up good,
but this crankcase is in a poor…[Lees meer]

  • Hi Ralf, I have no problem’s with my Tecnigas cc, it’s ace! no leak’s and my Ciao goes like hot sh*t now.
I can only compare my Tecnigas to the Techno cc I had, and it’s 100% better than that!

  • We get stung big time over here, £20.00 was the cheapest trasfer I could find at any bank,
I could only do transfers inside the U.K. for free.
I’ll see what the ferry to Holland costs, come and get my parts in person!

  • Shipping to the U.K. cost’s about £20.00 from Holland, I’m always getting parts sent over fron J.M.P.B. the only problem is a bank transfer for payment cost’s £20.00 as well! Hi DougN, from Martin in Stowmarket, Suffolk.

  • I now have my new Proma circuit pipe, my ciao runs alot better, I just wondered what size main jet I should be running with this set up, Malossi air filter, 13-13 carb, Malossi 43mm cilinder, Proma circuit. I think my Ciao is running a bit rich at the moment.

  • Thanks Ralf, have you ever dealt with these people in Switzerland? I like dealing with the Dutch,
they are very helpfull and most speak some English, my Swiss is not good!!! Postage from Holland
is only £18/£20 which is o.k. too. I really need a pipe with good power low down, we have alot of
hills and i weigh 16,4lb i don’t know what that is i…[Lees meer]

  • Thanks for your help Ralf and Helios, I didn’t want to spend my money on a pipe that doesn’t fit!
and as no one stocks parts over here, i can’t look before i buy. I would like a Proma cc, but
i didn’t think they were made any more? or are they still avalable to buy some where?

Great looking bike fatwreck, if i didn’t have thee kids and a house to pay for my ciao would
look like that too! Do you have a problem getting parts? There are no parts in U.K. but
Holland is not to far away so the postage is cheap.

  • Hi terrydean my U.S. friend, how are things in the states? my U.K. 1970 ciao has 19″ wheels,
i think the gearing must be different in the hub for 17″ models, but i maybe wrong.

  • Yes, i also have 19″ wheels, i didn’t think there would be enough room between the front wheel
and the engine to fit the top one, maybe i’ll go for a proma cc, i have a tecno cc fitted at the
moment, but no one rates that pipe very high on here! Think i’ll stick the yellow springs in first,
see what happens, thankyou all for your help.…[Lees meer]

I’m glad you can make sense of my crap English Tonni, ‘dino’ i think that was the name of a dinosaur on T.V.
anyway you knew what i ment. Maybe you could teach me some English before i try learning Dutch!
I understand the dyno didn’t give a true Hp reading, but which set up was best?

  • pink floyd reageerde in het onderwerp 2008 meeting, in het forum Pub talk 17 jaar, 7 maanden geleden

Was that a dino you where running the bikes on, if so that sort of hores power were
you reaching? Good to see some of you like a drink and a smoke, that two thing i enjoy.
What sort of age are you guy’s? i’m 35 but act like i’m still 16! that’s the age i had my
first moped, great times! I wouln’t like to come to one of your gigs and be the…[Lees meer]

I didn’t like to but in on your meeting topic and start talking in English,
i think it’s time i got an English to Dutch dictionary so i know what your
all talking about. I use to deal with Dutch people alot on the phone for my
job, but always talked in English, we’re to lazy to learn Dutch!! Glad to
hear the law didn’t shut you down, they…[Lees meer]

Yes, i saw you all on you tube, it looked great fun riding on those nice flat cycle lanes,
here cycle lanes are for cycles only. All i can see from my house are hills, not good for mopeds!!
Me and 4 of my frends did a 24 hour moped run for a charity, it was good fun but i don’t know how
    we weren’t all killed!

  • pink floyd reageerde in het onderwerp Ciao wheely's in het forum Pub talk 17 jaar, 8 maanden geleden

I can’t imagine riding on the road with no crash hat, over here mopeds built after 1977 are
restricted to 30mph, but you still need a helmet to ride. Most bikes get de-restricted or 65cc
kits fited by there owners, i had a Yamaha FS1E when i was 16, it was a 1976 so i made it go as fast
as posible, the only thing was any bike pre1977 had to…[Lees meer]

I don’t need any more plastic buckets thanks! I don’t think they sell discount Ciao cranks at that
shop, thats what i need for my bike. Fons told me the guy in fip flops was Italian not Dutch,
but i know all you Dutch are tough guys too, with no skid lid’s (crash hat)
