So yesterday we tested the exhaust and got 6,5 hp and 5,8 Nm with DR unported!! (Setup is written in this topic)

I tested this exhaust on the street and it is much better than the Proma CC, you will see this on different diagrams, too!

It has got a very wide and high torque-curve, even much better than the…[Lees meer]

Later on you can choose between two mainfolds (begin of the exhaust 26,27 or 28mm) and between two resonance bodys.
So you hace got 4 abilities to make the perfect exhaust for your engine.
The material ist about 1mm so the sound is really nice and not as loud as the other exhausts (relative silent).

There was a big surprise after the runs.
MofaFreak87 has got 5.8 hp with Proma CC and 6.4 with Simonini Calibrata.

Later this day I will drive to D.N.performance.
Today we will test the Proma CC again at my engine perhaps I have got more than 5,9 hp this time and afterwards we will test the Calibrata. This evening I will cut the movie and upload it.

Of course we locked the variomatic on the P4! If the variomatic isn’t locked, the motor always turns round certain r/pms.
So you have to lock the variomatic to get the real performance r/pm, when the motor and the exhaust gives the best…[Lees meer]

We are very sorry that the movement to the new working place took so much time, but now we will start with the production.

Just have a look to the post with the diagrams. At the top I wrote down my complete setup.
My inlet timings are round the 200°, they are calculatet with Arvid’s…[Lees meer]

Keep cool man! This is a normaly tuned crankshaft like Arvid calculates the inlet timings for the DR evo.
This engine is just a normal DR evo engine with a trimmed crankshaft (Arvids DR timings on big inlet) with 13/13 Dell Orto and tuned ports. Nearly everyone drives such an engine.;)

If you look at the diagrams my boost starts at 45 km/h round 6600 r/pm.
After this I get the peak performance till 5.9 hp at 53 km/h round 7200 r/pm.
It is impossible to hold this performance any longer for our small engines,
so I have got my optimal performance between 6600 r/pm till 7900 r/pm.

Than I get a harder boost round the 9000 r/pm…[Lees meer]

We will get even better results and this exhaust will definately be a must have. 😉
At the end we will even tune the DR evo completely, so that we hope to get 8 to 9 hp at the rear wheel!
Just with porting and the new exhaust.

Those 5.9 hp figures the exactly rear wheel horsepower. 😉
If we made the exhaust we will tune the cilinder and do more tests to check how it’s going on ported cilinders.

It is possible to build one for this moped, but here we are talking about Piaggio/Vespa mopeds.

If you believe what Polini writes in the little Tuningbooks which you get if you buy a Speed Engine (or something else) the Polini 43mm has got 4.3…[Lees meer]

So we started the first P4-testruns. (Date und time are wrong.)

– DR evo with Polini cilinderhead
– my optimized milled motor-housing
– crankshaft with ptimized timimngs
– 13/13 Dell Orto SHA
– optimized Polini airfilter
– Proma Cirquit (CC)

So I have got some good and bad news.

DN-Performance is moving in a bigger place with more abilities and better conditions.
So if the moving is done we can start to build.

Sorry that you have to wait, but we are going to move in a new place and so we can’t make P4 tests.
At the time we are calculating some exhausts. Soon we will have the first models made of paper and datas from the P4 runs.
