with a small flathead screwdriver i was able to pull it out.

…about my chewed up crankseal, is it possible to change it from the flywheel side without cracking the engine open? googled my ass off can’t find any info, even the Haynes manual outthere just says to change it while the block is in parts…

For the exhaust: depends on what you want; topspeed or a strong take-off and offcourse what is your budget and what look are you aiming for…
An exhaust is really personal…looking for take-off, budget would be approx 50-70 Euros, looking for non conspicous, not original ofcourse but don’t want it to stand out too much, no super race stuff….

I suggest you to repair the leaky seal and try again.
A good expansion muffler will also bring a better take-off.And what is your gear ratio ? and the diameter of your pully ? maybe you can play with that to
pully is 70mm i think, so quite small…
Is it possible to replace the seal from the “outside” without splitting the engine again?
Just remove the flywheel and the coils etc, as the seal is on the “outside” of the bearing, from the flywheel perspective if you see what i mean…I looked around on quite a few mufflers, but have a hard time understanding the different possible outcomes dpending on which i choose.. any tips or suggestions are most welcome.
also when im trying to find a correct main jet,, strange things happend, I actually get slower top speed from a 75 jet than a 72 jet, still i don’t get the fourstroking at all from 75 or 78 jet, from what I read that should be the sign that Im just over the edge of a too large jet,, still the 75 is getting me a slightly darker sparkplugg than optimal so possibly 72 is correkt, but why no fourstroking? is this connected to the possibility of a leaky seal?

Difficult to say, depending on the condition of the clutch, but I think between 850 to 1100 rpm.Why you ask ?
I elongated the intake on the block, and it got realy weak on low rpm ( I also got an air leak in the seal, but it just messes with my idle), but strong as hell later in the rpm range, so I bought the malossi spring kit that has three ranges starting to engage at 2000 then at 4000 and then at 6000. So inteast of mesing about to much I though i better seek advice on which springs in all probability would be best…
I now have the 2000 springs , and a big improvement, but still 100% satisfied, partly as I also rejetted to get more max speed, and that makes it even weaker at low rpm… I gained approx 5km/h switching from 68 jet to 72 on a stock SHA 13:13.. think 66 is standard but way to lean since my little drilljob.
I can now get moving from standstill in a realy inclined slope, but its not super takeoff, not sure what to expect from my setup though…have a DR 64cc cylinder on, a crappy jamarcol 25mm muffler.. i think i loose a lot of power right there put it keeps the look somewhat more authentic than a big snake thing.
