<p>The 990955 flywheel to the left does not work with the old-timer coil or the &#8220;green&#8221; coils in the bottom picture due to the larger outer wall thickness, it has to use the smaller coils in the bottom picture.</p>

Changed to the correct coils for the flywheel I have and now both the tube lamp, 5W/12V, and the tail lamp, 4W/12V, works fine 🙂<br />
Still don&#8217;t understand why the head lamp that is 15W/6V survives and actually is&#8217;t that bright&#8230;.</p>

Still have more transmission sounds than I want but it hasn&#8217;t changed since the change, ~500 km</p>
<p>On the coils they fit with the thin walled flywheel, 21 mm wall width.<br />
How many flywheel variants are there?</p>

I used 3% during break-in the first 500 km but did have a feeling it was unnecessary to continue with.</p>
<p>Main point for running Alkylate is there is less carbon build-up and soot in the engine, also more or less zero smell&#8230;</p>

<p>First I put it so that the two small holes in the piston matched the transfer ports in the cylinder, this way there is no holes in the piston matching the exhaust port, this is the way all other tuning cylinder pistons (like DR) are mounted. Inspecting the carter it looks like it was sandblasted which probably removed to much material in the bearing seat.</p>

<p>Just disregard the part below, I confused the moped/brom cranks and the mofa/snor cranks&#8230;.<br />

One with the Speed engine carter and the 46 mm Polini and one with a &#8220;belgian&#8221; carter and the DR Evo 43 mm. </p>
<p>I opened the engines I had and the only moped crank was an old one without needle bearing&#8230;..<br />

<p>I thought that low-end torque increased if the opening intake timing was increased slightly?</p>

From time to time I still have to run a few meters before the start shoes engage.<br />
All washers are in place and the clutchhousing has been degreased and the surface roughed up a bit.<br />

Performance was similar but the Olympia 65cc has much better low-end power.</p>

<p>The carburator started leaking fuel so I replaced it with a 12/10 carb with a 62 jet instead and suddenly my idle was back and the engine ran better.<br />
I lost a little torque and power but max speed was just ~3 km/h lower so obviously there was something wrong with the 13/13 carb.</p>

<p>I followed Malossis recommendation and only increased the height of the intake window so sealing shouldn&#8217;t be a problem.</p>

Good to hear that the original crank is reallly strong, on my other engine I modified the original crank instead so hopefully it will hold-up better.</p>
