I found this wich I see don´t have the same kind of springs.

By comparing my picture to yours, Martino, is seems like this clutch have a lot more material to connect to the drum.
It also seems like my option is to find a useful Piaggio clutch and use the harder springs or to…[Lees meer]

The race distance is very short, only 75 meters, and I will put scoops on to send oncoming air towards the cylinder so I expect that to be enough.

One problem with bolder springs may be to know what to get and how much it will affect the action.

By reducing the weight step by step I can stop where the desired function is present.

I assume I must use the Malossi spacer in the red ring.

The plasic spacer was out of the plan for me, no need to reduce speed in my opinion…8)

The small Dremels and so on is good for finetuning on small details but you need more power to open the crank case.

Power didn’t rise, acceleration from standing start improved drastically in the period when the clutch was slipping. Wheely from standing start was easy. At speed it did behave just like with flywheel except for the throttle response.

Why use a CDI ?

Get standard contact breaker points, a battery pack, a standard capacitor and you can ditch the flywheel.
Works perfectly on a 50cc engine.

Yes, great idea but I prefer to go without breaker points and find a solution with a Hall trigger to send the ignition point to the coil.

No it won´t.
You know that there are a small picup coil inside the flywheel that gives the CDI unit the signal to send the spark to the plug.

Without that coil no spark will be sent, the CDI will not know when to send the spark.
