Hoi Jelle,
the correct way to ride a foreign vehicle in germany is via TÜV (German RDW) approval by a so called “Einzelabnahme”.
Because without that its not allowed to ride/drive a gas powered vehicle on german public roads. The cost is around 150€,
i did this already with several foreign bikes.
There are a lot of people who don’t do this, and simply order a license (Insurance) plate for the bike only by mentioning the framenumber.
But thats illegal, as said before, if no “Einzelabnahme” has taken place. As long as there is no control or crash or other involvement
in any public issue this might be no problem, but with some issue happening there might be some serious punishment around the corner.Please feel free to pm me for further requests.
