:: What kind of speeds are you guys seeing on your Malossi D.E.P.S.
-
I’ve been tuning my ciao, and I’m still only getting up above 55mph, or 90kmh. Just wondering if anyone here is seeing the same kind of top speeds.
My bike is a complete frame up build;
Malossi RV cases
Dellorto 19mm PHBG
Malossi DEPS 47mm
Simonini Calibrata
Simonini CDI
Polini Vario
Olympia rear pulley/clutch
Malossi Race gears

Yes, around 90 is the max that most ever get out of their Vespa’s.. The engine’s just aren’t that strong..
To get more out of it, you have to fine-tune the lot.
For example, the DEPS still has a lot ‘reserve’, it still has enough tuning possibilities.
I came, I saw, and I forgot what I was doing...
Yeah, I see a lot of potential in the Deps. I haven’t done a port map, and there is a lot of lightening I can do in the transmission. I’m loving my ciao so far… A lot more fun than my puch or my Sachs.
Maybe you find this topic interesting because of the portmaps already provided. There’s also one of the last edition 47mm Malossi deps in there.
Has anyone converted a Deps cylinder to “finger” ports?
I personally did not see any finger ports on the deps yet. There are people who did some other tuning on them, but as of now without very great results. Even when the boosters fully opened there was little no difference in power increase.
Example taken from CiaoCrossClub(On this forum there are more people who made some changes i think)

Personally i had to see for myself after i do some work on the deps… So I’m looking forward of what you can do with this type of cylinder.
