Hey, just bought a nice Polini LC kit and I wonder if I could drive the kit without a waterpomp. After the Polini paperwork the set is complete without a waterpomp but I have seen a waterpomp at JMPB.
Do I need a waterpomp in addition to run that set?
Do you have some pics what shows how the waterpomp is fixed to the Ciao?
All other additional infos or experiences about that set would be great.:D

sjaak trekhaakit`s not necessary to have a waterpomp because wen the liquid is getting warm it will go up and than cool down in the radiator so you get a circulation.
4 oktober 2009 om 14:27 #145577Hi Ralph,
Maby you can use a small electric waterpump from a motorcycle

Bart(je) assembled a polini waterpump on his ciao, unfortunately his “Mijnalbum” crashed so I could not find a proper picture, you can PM him and aks for some…
I’m not that convinced that the convection system is working as good as a waterpump does

@Arvid: That’s a pump for minarelli lc scooters. Many times used for sprinters.thats no minarelli pump… it’s an pump for a caravan or something like that you can get it at an outdoor shop….
i used this pump on my sprinter beacause it;s cheap4 oktober 2009 om 18:19 #145580ha, that’s a great idea=)
I also have the fear that only convection will not be enough. Sure, the Polini waterpump looks cool but the caravan pump will do the job as well I think.
4 oktober 2009 om 18:25 #145581You could also make an 12V powersupply on your moped and install a PC waterpump 🙂

4 oktober 2009 om 18:32 #145584EDIT:haha, don’t think that’s gonna work! I’m also having watercooling in my PC< and the Eheim pump max temperture is 60C. And an cilinder will get hotter than that;).
Haha. Denk niet dat dat gaat werken! Heb zelf ook waterkoeling, en de Eheim pomp mag maag 60 graden max worden. Dat water word wel warmer hoor ;).
