Hij moet nog gemaakt worden, iedereen wil ze zien.
Ik sluit het topic tot er iets is om over te praten, tot er een uitlaat is.
Fabian, I’m closing the topic because I think it’s better to chat about something that’s real, please let us know when the exhausts are ready for the public or when you have information to share, I’ll open the topic immediately.
6 maart 2010 om 15:37 #154312Hello at all.
We are very sorry that the movement to the new working place took so much time, but now we will start with the production.
MofaFreak87 is on his way to me and than we will do some tests on the P4 and I will post a little video and the diagrams of different exhausts. (f.e. Simonini Calibrata & Proma CC)Furthermore we have got a lot of specials that you have never seen before and other very good news.
The price will NOT be as high as we thought first!!!The first prototype will be presentet next week, it will be a very nice exhaust, that’s for sure!
Regards, Fabian
6 maart 2010 om 15:44 #154313Are these runs made with “pully” or with “variomatic’?
And good news that the production is almost starting
6 maart 2010 om 15:46 #154314Nice to see the project is going forward.

I’ll hope to see some good results from your prototype.

.-{2F4OV}-.I hope the exhausts will be tested with variomatic. That’s way better than pully;)

I hope the exhausts will be tested with variomatic. That’s way better than pully;)Ofcourse not, variomatic on a dyno is just crap. With variomatic you won’t be able to see how the powerband develops when the revs increase and this is the data you want to see. Especially on a moped with mono or a instable variomatic drive
Choosing the correct weights of the variomatic “rolls” and the correct clutchsprings would be so much easyer if scooters where able to produice real power to RPM graphs on a dyno. Than it would just be a case of mounting a rpm gauge on your scooter and set the clutch to the engine speed with peak torque and choose the “rolls” according to the peak HP engine speed.

Home made engine dyno7 maart 2010 om 10:07 #154316The production is definately going forward very well!
You will all be surprised of the prototype.Of course we locked the variomatic on the P4! If the variomatic isn’t locked, the motor always turns round certain r/pms.
So you have to lock the variomatic to get the real performance r/pm, when the motor and the exhaust gives the best performance.
That’s nearly impossible with variomatic.
You will see this on the video, too.It was very surprising, that MofaFreak87’s engine with 46mm Pinasco and Reed Valve has not got really more performance than my DR engine. I will post the video and diagrams on monday, so you can compare the diagrams of 43mm DR evo and 46mm Pinasco with Proma CC and Simonini Calibrata.

7 maart 2010 om 22:45 #154317Talked with mofafreak.
6.4 BHP with Calibrata
5.8 BHP with Proma ccHe is aiming for 7 BHP with the new exhaust from DN performance
8 maart 2010 om 13:08 #154318Later this day I will drive to D.N.performance.
Today we will test the Proma CC again at my engine perhaps I have got more than 5,9 hp this time and afterwards we will test the Calibrata. This evening I will cut the movie and upload it.@ hansieb: MofaFreak87 told me something concerning the exhausts.
Please write a PM to me with further infos to this, you know what I mean. 😉Gruß, Fabian
8 maart 2010 om 13:41 #154319Why not make the concerning thoughts public? I hate to see all the secrecy. It will indefinitely make the project more trustfull. Anyway i hope to see the results with a nice video perhaps of the new D.N.performance later on.
8 maart 2010 om 15:42 #154320It’s a company aiming to make a profit, I find it quite understandable that they don’t share everything. But I have great confidence that it’s going to be a fine exhaust, when I see the proffessional approach and earlier exhausts made by them.
9 maart 2010 om 13:39 #154321Of course you get everything to know, which is important!
Today I am going to make the video with P4 runs of MofaFreak87 and Jocko (me).
There was a big surprise after the runs.
MofaFreak87 has got 5.8 hp with Proma CC and 6.4 with Simonini Calibrata.
I have got 5.9 hp with Proma CC and 6.5 hp with the Calibrata and almost 1 Nm more torque!Setup MofaFreak87:
46mm Pinasco (minimal ported), Polini head, Malossi Reed Valve, electric ignition with Pinasco flywheel, Mazzuchelli fullround crankshaft, 19mm Dell Orto, Malossi airfilterMy Setup:
43mm DR evo (unported), Polini head, original engine (fully ported), contact iginition with 690g flywheel, original crankshaft (tuned >190°), 13/13 Dell Orto, Polini airfilter (ported)The results are really amazing, the diagrams of all the imortant runs will be publiced tomorrow and till Saturday the prototype will probably ready.

9 maart 2010 om 16:04 #154322It’s nice to see you’re making some progress with DN performance. I’m curious to see what you can improve, getting more power could be quite easy (just shorten the power band), but the question is if this is practical on a ciao.
Accurly I’m curious if you’re going to develop the exhaust for an automatic or variomatic transmission?
For a variomatic transmission I think you are able to make a great improvement, couse allmost all ciao exhausts are made for automatic transmission, some with a shorter powerband, but still able to use with automatic transmission.

The results are really amazingThey are indeed:|
I’m realy looking forward to the dyno diagrams, thanx for sharing !
