We will get even better results and this exhaust will definately be a must have. 😉
At the end we will even tune the DR evo completely, so that we hope to get 8 to 9 hp at the rear wheel!
Just with porting and the new exhaust.Gruß, Fabian
11 december 2009 om 15:21 #154223omg… but why do you have 5.9ps at 63km/h?
my boost starts @6700rpm en goes to about 8000rpm, i even got 8340rpm @ 83km/h with good weather conditions.
but i dont think that i have more than 4.5 horse pwr. very strange
can you post some foto`s of your tuned crank case? iam very interestedgreetings rearwheelterror guy

Link naar Mijn collectie / Projecten.11 december 2009 om 17:37 #154224If you look at the diagrams my boost starts at 45 km/h round 6600 r/pm.
After this I get the peak performance till 5.9 hp at 53 km/h round 7200 r/pm.
It is impossible to hold this performance any longer for our small engines,
so I have got my optimal performance between 6600 r/pm till 7900 r/pm.Than I get a harder boost round the 9000 r/pm and my engine turns round the 11000 r/pm till 85 km/h.
I can’t tell you anything about my crankshaft, I am sorry, this is a little secret. 😉It is something like that just study the diagrams and you will see, that we hold the measure till 63 km/h!
I have got the 5.9 hp at 55 km/h.Gruß, Fabian

I’m sorry but then I don’t give a fuck about your performance results with this exhaust, because in that case nobody can make a reliable comparisment with their own engine.
Therefore the only conclusion that can be made at this point: the exhaust gives better performance on your otherwise secret setup, compared with a Proma cc.
In my opinion you should take a normal engine with a normal cilinderkit, and then make comparisments between exhausts.
That gives results that mean something.b.s.
I came, I saw, and I forgot what I was doing...11 december 2009 om 18:51 #154226Keep cool man! This is a normaly tuned crankshaft like Arvid calculates the inlet timings for the DR evo.
This engine is just a normal DR evo engine with a trimmed crankshaft (Arvids DR timings on big inlet) with 13/13 Dell Orto and tuned ports. Nearly everyone drives such an engine.;)And you can be sure, that we will do other tests and that this exhaust will optimize the performance of every other DR engine, too. We are going to build an exhaust for 43mm cilinder kits, which will run very nice on 43mm cilinders on every engine, even on the Malossi Reed Valve, Polini Evo or Speed Engine.
The important things are the timings of the cilinder and not how long your inlet is open.
If you take a look in my perso you can see that my inlet is open for 198°.Just cool down, we are putting a lot of work and time in this project to offer a good looking and qualitative, exclusive exhaust, which raises your performance especially on 43mm cilinders.
Just trust me and in the experience of D.N.performance. 😉Gruß, Fabian
11 december 2009 om 19:17 #154227I am cool, I was not attacking you.
Maybe it came out a bit stronger as meant..It’s just that a tuning exhaust is more interesting when it is known where it was designed for.
I do have faith in the project, but not everyone knows your setup and then they only see what is written here.
Everything clear and openly gives the most trust.Ideal should be if you tell your engine timings for the current and future results too, because they really do make a difference…
Furthermore, keep up the good work!
I came, I saw, and I forgot what I was doing...11 december 2009 om 19:21 #154228After these tests, do you now have a small indication about the price of the exhaust?
13 december 2009 om 11:47 #154229No, unfortunatly I can’t tell you the price before D.N.performance build the first exhaust, because we have to see how much work it is to construct them.
@ Tonni: Alright mate. 😉
Just have a look to the post with the diagrams. At the top I wrote down my complete setup.
My inlet timings are round the 200°, they are calculatet with Arvid’s program.
Pictures of the carter, crankshaft and so on you can find in my perso.Gruß, Fabian
13 december 2009 om 13:13 #154219yes i think what tonni say`s is wright, because some of these forum members can make really quik stuf.
and they can also give you feedback about certain things, 10 heads know more than 1 .thats how I see it.
but iam confident that you guys make a great exhaust for the 43mm
GREETINGS ritz 8wtrr

Home made engine dyno22 december 2009 om 20:40 #153132aha oke, But i still want to see a Ciao Model of DN 😉
22 december 2009 om 21:49 #154231Do you have pictures or drawings of what it is going to look like?
