hmmm i might be very interested.. how will the ground clearance be for the pipe? my calibrata is kinda too low for my liking. if i go down on the track, it gets all banged up.
i work for a company that builds custom pipes for mopeds (http://motomaticmopeds.com), though they don’t currently build one for the ciao. their handmade pipes go for around $280, so i imagine yours must be somewhere around that, except i’d also have to pay to have it shipped to the us! expensive!
anyway, i could be interested if the performance is there, and if the ground clearance is good! it would be nice to be able to corner hard at the track and not hit my pipe!
also, will you be making the dyno graphs available to view on the internet? will you be putting your pipe up against the fabrizi and calibrata on the dyno?7 november 2009 om 11:41 #154177It might also be a good idea to design the exhaust in such a way that people with a kickstart engine can mount it without having the problem that the kickstart hits the exhaust when kicking.
I hope it’s not to late for such ideasWelkom op ons forum!
Breng een bezoekje aan mijn Ciao project.8 november 2009 om 11:26 #154178@ terrydean: I can tell you something about the price next week.
The exhaust will not get so low and we will post dyno graphs to look how good the performance is.
But we have some justice problems with shipping to U.S. because there are different laws and we don’t want to get in trouble.@AA-T: Yes, you will be able to drive this exhaust with a kickstart engine, no problem.;)
It is never too late for such ideas, we can make changes or go through special wishes of you all the time.
You can even get a 26mm or 27mm flange for mounting on the cilinder.
What is the most used bigger type than the 22mm?
You have got 22mm, 27mm and 28mm right? It will be no problem to build pipes with 28mm or more (less).Gruß, Fabian
8 november 2009 om 11:38 #15417927mm is for the malossi DEPS. I’ve got one. I would have a 27mm;)

And is it even possible to get a 30mm?8 november 2009 om 11:45 #154181We are going to make a 22mm flange but it is even possible to make it with a 27mm.
We have some ideas to realise both, just wait up to the next week.;)8 november 2009 om 11:50 #154182It would be great if you could change the flange on the go. That would make your exhaust truely genius.
Standard make the exhaust 30mm and sell metal-inserts which makes the first part 22mm / 27mm / 28mm or leave it 30mm
11 november 2009 om 14:45 #154188hey jockoballa,
sorry I’m so impatient, but you happen to have test results or photo, s??
I’m really curious and very Interested
greetzzzzz
14 november 2009 om 16:44 #154190Som news already arrived from the outlet(s) ?
15 november 2009 om 12:08 #152923Sorry that you have to wait, but we are going to move in a new place and so we can’t make P4 tests.
At the time we are calculating some exhausts. Soon we will have the first models made of paper and datas from the P4 runs.
And perhaps we will have a little surprise for those with 27mm exhaust ports.;)Gruß, Fabian
15 november 2009 om 13:50 #154191I can’t wait:D:D
22 november 2009 om 21:00 #154193i cant wait too, do u have some news? 🙂
27 november 2009 om 17:50 #154195Hello,
I like the idea of custom made exhausts.
Are you only going to make the for the users with the standard carters?
Im using the DR Evo with a Polini Speed Engine, so if I would be interresed (wich I am) will the coming exhausts also be tested on somekind of simular setup?
Also, will there be different mufflers (english…? ik bedoel dus carbon of alu.) types, like carbonfiber or aluminium??Ill keep an eye on this topic, and waiting for the prices and tests.
Maybe nice to make a video, so we can get a idea of the sound the exhaust will make.Shoarma
29 november 2009 om 11:09 #154198So I have got some good and bad news.
DN-Performance is moving in a bigger place with more abilities and better conditions.
So if the moving is done we can start to build.
Unfortunately you have to wait till January for the first exhausts and can order in January/February.But than we have got some specials for you.
If it is possible, we can make a little special, so that you can switch from 22mm to 27mm on the go!
Furthermore thoses exhausts will be made more for cilinders like DR evo, Polini Kit Racing and so on, but would even run good at other engines like 46mm Pinasco I think. Those will be testet on the P4-Testbank, with PC!!Our aim is, to build a perfect, exclusive exhaust wich have best performance on such engines with a nice racing optic.
The mufflers will be changeable, you can use high quality carbonfiber mufflers (higher price) or the standerd version made of aluminum. You can even select another feature! We can coat the exhausts with nickel, this will look kinda chrome and is a good protection against oxidation. This will look like this.

The first test enignes are running with 43mm DR evo and 43mm Kit Racing.
Gruß, Fabian
