      Hi,
I’m currently installing a DR Evo 43mm kit, will also enlarge the inlet and put a 13 Carb.
the question is do i need to cut the crank? and do i cut like in the “How To” article here on the site or each motor need diffrenet cutting?

What is the purpose of cutting the crank?

      Thanks
      Eran

By cutting the crank you prolong the inlet period, the same way you prolong it when you enlarge the inlet.

There are specific measurements for this kit, if you read piet30’s how-to about prepping an engine for a dr43(>CLICKCLICK<) you'll find out. Otherwise just ask.

I looked at arvidw how to, my case seems to be the “Belgian std kick” with already larger opening.
but other then that i did not understand if i need to cut the crank and how much

          Thanks
          Eran
