Designing your own crankcase? interesting 😎
I see some similarities:

Welkom op ons forum!
Breng een bezoekje aan mijn Ciao project.11 september 2018 om 10:39 #778539Yes, my own case, thats why I’m selling the other project so that I can finance this bad boy 😀
Yes, they’re both Minarelli style cases for Ciao/bravo/Si 🙂
I try to adopt as much mineralli parts as possible, apart from the obvious..
– Dowel pins, bearings, oil seals, reed valve, manifold and so on.. So every parts except for crankcase should be availble at any scooter store.Just some minor adjustments left, then I will 3D print a mockup in the upcoming weeks.
I will not CAD the transfers, thoose will need to be matched by hand so I leave them out..Can’t decide weither to go with 2fast 70cc or S6R/T 70cc.. decisions decisions..
That goes for the uitlat aswell..

18 september 2018 om 19:59 #778727Looks good ! 😀
25 september 2018 om 19:12 #778922All I’m waiting for is a stupid MaxiScoot order that they are struggeling to ship out, been waiting 2 weeks and I’ve tried to cancel it but they don’t listen. 🙁 As soon as I receive it, I can make the final adjustment to the 3D model, then let my friend print it for me.
Anyway, I’ve collected many parts needed, still some to.. like exhaust, but haven’t made up my mind yet which to get.. That one can wait a bit..
Thoose AM6 reed valves are big 😀

25 september 2018 om 19:25 #778925Looks good ! Always Nice to see that stuff, makes me feel like iam 16 again:D
25 september 2018 om 19:58 #778929aah, here originates something 😀
25 september 2018 om 21:33 #778938Nice parts :Thumb
Can you tell me how big te piramide is of te AM6 reed vale?
Base length & width and the height? And is it desinged voor a 28mm?
Tanks.25 september 2018 om 21:44 #778940Thanks! Parts, anyone can buy.. The big task is to get the carter done 😮
The reedvalve is Malossi MHR VL18, especially designed for the Malossi C-one crankcase, but is has AM6 dimensions.
Base of triangle is 36,5mm,
Height of triangle is 35mm
width of triangle is 45mmThe base-plate is not included in the dimensions.
Is comes with 28mm venturi/insert
26 september 2018 om 12:09 #778943Tanks :Thumb
You are right, not everyone has the conections or the possibilities to make things yourself. Everyone does what is in his power.
It is hard to make someting out of noting. It take,s a lot,s of effort.
And it is always nice to see wat some one does. So, keep us informed with lots of pictures, s 😀26 september 2018 om 18:18 #778951I sent back The cylinder today, Because I found some cavitations when inspecting it. Not what to expect from a high end cylinder..
What do guys think?

26 september 2018 om 20:59 #778954This are flaws in the casting, not realy perfect or High end.
If I look at te colour it seems real nicasil.
Good you send it back
28 september 2018 om 06:28 #778989Malossie would say: no those are special oil transfer ports 🙂 just run it
I think you should return it, and get a new one.
De budget beun tjoener: geen geld is te duur of het werkt nog niet
Link naar Mijn collectie / Projecten.28 september 2018 om 23:12 #779028The shame is it’s not a Malossi but a Stage6. Indeed better to return it and get a perfect one. They made you pay for it!
29 september 2018 om 10:40 #779032@Martino: Hehe, so you say I should have gone off with Malossi instead? 🙂 I really liked the modularity of the S6R/T, and it looked sexy with the CNC head instead of the more common cast aluminum and by the round shape I imagined that it will make the fittinnside the Ciao easier.
@Ritze, yea I’ve read some on internet regarding pits and cavities and some people say it’s good for the cylinder, oil pockets 😀 But I don’t know… I’m sceptical. 😀
@Zevenenergie, yes it’s nicasil coated, I wonder why the Nicasil coating didn’t fill out the pits.I sent it back earlier this week and they accepted the return, I told them to open a box and check the new cylinder before sending it out. However they stated the others have the same pits and this is how they leave the factory. Got my money back. Now I don’t know what to get instead. 🙁
I saw on Facebook that there are some ongoing tests with new prototype R/T 70cc cylinder.
The 2fast 70cc might be an option, but it’s quite expensive and not easy to find in stock.
I’ve seen some ROOST/HAVOC cylinders, however I don’t know if they still are in production.. I’m not familiar with Scooter cylinders and don’t have any friends who might have experience either. At least I got my oil seals now, and 3D model is finnished, will send the files to my friend and let him print the parts next week. I Have a feeling that the carburator won’t really fit, it was quite big 😀
