A little more progress, still not going fast 🙂 it is “only” The back side left
Still nice to see the progress although slow. You can already see the shape of the wheel.
I agree, always Nice to see The result between each run.. 🙂 we have now knocked The piece out and re rigged it for The back side.
If we would have had more time, we would have made 45 degree chamfer on each edge in The CNC. It would have been sexiest, but now we will do it by hand instead

For the right buyer, the complete motor is for sale. Anyone interested, send a PM for further details and bid.Today I tried to fit the polini variator I bought 3½ years ago, seems like they were drunk at the factory. The hole inner disc is offset and impossible to align with the bushing. Think it will be hard to get a new one from JMPB after all theese years 😀
Next question will be:
– Should the bushing of variator sit down the bottom of the shaft (bottom of the part with the flat side).
As I don’t have any original motor I haven’t anything to measure from.. Trying to figure out the size of the shim-ring/bushing I need between rotor and variator.Edit: It seem to be just a bushing, by the look of the malossi version I should be able to bore the hole a bit so that the bushing fits on the disc while installed on the crank. Malossi is using a 2-piece construction, so I don’t think the inner diameter of the bushing will make any difference.

I did it after a bit of research and looking at fans for other motors, not vespa motors.
Interesting, would be nice to test different models on our mopeds and see how this differs in performance and temperature. But I understand this is way too much time consuming and the costs would be high. Hopefully you found the right formula straight away 😉
