Hi everyone, I am excited because maybe i kan get a sponsor, which would supply me with 2000 Euros if I will win scooter races with a “special” Bike. Up here in Denmark all is driving Yamaha Aerox/Jog ect. So what could be more “special” than beatin their ass in a Ciao?

Ofcourse it needs a hell of a engine. Im thinking Sprocatti. So heres my questions:
– Where can i buy them?
– Are the motors with everything like crankshaft, clutch ect??
– I’ve heard it is a hell to adjust the engine, is that right? (Needs to know it, so I can get help from a Pro-tuner)

It only seems that there service is the big problem.
So u can try, but dont be to exited.

Barry ( Moderator ) from this forum had one and he sold it, he knows more about this engine.

Hmm, Maybe i should just use the Simonini Engine, or what about The Zirri engine? Any place where I can buy that?

Finding a Zirri engine is like finding the pot of gold underneath the rainbow. 😛

A Simonini engine is definetly the best option, atleast its easy to get one.

Hmm, god damn it! Well maybe i should just improve my Polini Speedengine with a Simonini Side-inlets. Sorry i keep changing my mind, i just want to be a little more special than other Ciao’s in Denmark. Where can i buy the Simonini Side inlet? I keep searching on Google, but with no luck.

You can’t buy the side inlet new anymore. The production stopped a few years ago.

If you whant to sprint against scooters you should buy the simonini 4 taps carter and not only a simo side inlet because than you can only choose from the 3 taps cilinders

If you want you can bild a scooter cilinder on it. Maby speedbuxy can tell you more about it.

Sprint racing with a vespa is somthing you have to do for your own fun becourse you wil never win.
The vario transmission of a vespa is nothing in comparing with a scooter transmission.
And even when you fixs this transmission problem(fox clutch)than you still have the problem that the inlet of a simo 2007 is much smaller than that of a scooter.

if i was you i take a sprocatti engine and fix a fox clutch but i think you can’t buy it easy because its bad communication.

so just as speedbuxy says, you don’t make a chance against a scooter.
