Hi,
just want to show my new engine project. A Simo side inlet with a 46mm Pinasco cylinder. This could become the Zuider Zee Tour 2009 engine:whistle

Hope this will become a burner:rules
Will keep you updated;)

11 juli 2008 om 19:28 #147656nice engine !
wich carb are you using?11 juli 2008 om 19:34 #147657nice engine indeed! Do you plan to cut a bit of your cilinder or not? (The piece that blocks half of your inlet)
Only isn’t there a better way to block your standard inlet? This looks a bit crappy:con
11 juli 2008 om 19:52 #147658I think he already did, as you can see on picture 4 😉 (so the last picture is older than the first)
about the original inlet; I made this plug: http://www.mijnalbum.nl/Foto-8X4AQAYS.jpg
it looks very nice, so if you (or somebody you know) can make one like this, that would look much better.11 juli 2008 om 20:49 #147659maybe thats not the best crankshaft to use on a setup like that 😉 but this engine definitely has potential

That’s the same thing i was thinking! Isnt that the crackshaft that broke a few times by other people?
11 juli 2008 om 21:08 #147661no it isnt the rop racing, if you look at the box it as a DR Crankshaft 😉
so it should be alot better quality.correct me if i’m wrong.
FonS: the push rod of a Top Racing (Top Breaking) crankshaft looks different, so I think you’re right Diac 😉
11 juli 2008 om 22:24 #147663Looks good piet :lol

oeh, fresh baked crankcases 😀 I like
11 juli 2008 om 22:58 #147666Hehe nice ralf, i have the same engine:

It’s supposed to be fed by a 21mm dell’, but i still have to make the inlet.
There’s a swedish guy on youtube with a tuned pinasco and side inlet which seems to go nicely.
12 juli 2008 om 13:09 #147669wuhaha, this was a carter grill festival.;) I was waiting till my wife went out for shopping and then I quick put the carter and the bearings into the grill in our kitchen. This worked fine at 110°C

I want to drive that engine with a 20mm Dello

But I have no idea what cables I will need to connect the carb. Also no Idea where I could get them from.
That is not the cylinder in the inlet window what you can see. It is the piston when it is at his lowest point.
Surely the nice plug from FonS would be nicer than my big screw in the standard inlet.8) But this is what I have found in my garage.
Any idea where to get this nice plug from FonS?The crankshaft is a DR one. It has very good quality. But surely there are better ones for that engine like Volrond Krukas:relax
But the DR is what I already had.
So if somebody has a nice Volrond Krukas for 12mm piston pen please let me know.:bierEdjuh, you have opened the boost ports in your cylinder. Is that a big difference compared to the standard ports? I was thinking about to open them in my cylinder after some 100 Km driving with standard ports.
Could you send me the link of the Swedish guy youtube video:worshippySo,if somebody could tell me more about the cables and the nice plug would be great. Also if somebody has a better crankshaft for me.:baby

.-{2F4OV}-.Hey Ralf,
Nice inlet blocker! I like the cilinder as well, because I had it myself. Good torque at low rpm
