Im having a hell of a time trying get my proma circuit on my 70 ciao “leak free”. I replaced the hardware on the clamp with 10 grade hardware and clamp it down REALLY tight, Like to the point i’m scared the spigots gonna snap.. I’m also using a heavy duty spring to support it. If i put my finger over the end of the pipe the bike remains running, and you can hear it get louder from the spigot / header area.
This leak is robbing my power and causing my temps to go through the roof. I hit 400F after a short bit of riding at WOT.
Please, any suggestions to get this thing leak free??
Thanks in advance!

here in NL we’ve got ‘uitlaatpasta’ or also called exhaust cement. it looks like this;
.
spread a little bit exhaust cement around the flange of the exhaust, and mount it. wait a few minutes. Then start is. LET IT IDLE! otherwise the compression blows the gasket away, as it hardens.
When it’s fully hardened you’ll have a leakfree flange!
The stuff is usually bought at carmaterial shops. Or webshops! I have the luck of working at a car-garage.
Succes!
