Does anyone out there know if a polini top one will fit my 1970 ciao with 19″ wheels?
There’s not much room between the head and front wheel, and i don’t want to spend my
“weak” pounds on a pipe that doesn’t fit! Thanks, from Martin in the U.K.
17 januari 2009 om 17:18 #145153I would say no, don’t fit.
As I measure on my old Ciao with 19″ wheels there is only 6,5 to 7 cm space between head and fendor. The Polini Top One needs 7 to 7,5 cm space.
I drive a Proma CC, that exhaust fits;)

17 januari 2009 om 18:13 #145154I would also recommend the Proma cc.
It’s a nice pipe and has a great boost around the 35-40.
From that point its a straight line till max speed!18 januari 2009 om 10:16 #145155Thanks for your help Ralf and Helios, I didn’t want to spend my money on a pipe that doesn’t fit!
and as no one stocks parts over here, i can’t look before i buy. I would like a Proma cc, but
i didn’t think they were made any more? or are they still avalable to buy some where?18 januari 2009 om 10:22 #145156You’re right, Proma CC’s are not produced any more and no one has them in stock…
JMPB.nl told us that it will be made under a different name (Technigas) but they don’t know when the new exhausts will be available.18 januari 2009 om 19:11 #14515718 januari 2009 om 20:57 #145159Thanks Ralf, have you ever dealt with these people in Switzerland? I like dealing with the Dutch,
they are very helpfull and most speak some English, my Swiss is not good!!! Postage from Holland
is only £18/£20 which is o.k. too. I really need a pipe with good power low down, we have alot of
hills and i weigh 16,4lb i don’t know what that is in Kg’s, to much i think!!!19 januari 2009 om 08:52 #145160No I havn’t dealed with this specific guys from Motorluppino but with another Switzerland shop called Cycletech. The shipping cost and paying customs was very high.
And your shippment cost of about 22 Euro from Netherland to UK is less than I payed from Switzerland to Germany.8)Due to that I also prefer to buy from Netherland, JMPB. They have good stuff, prices and excellent service. The bad thing is that they don’t have the Proma CC.:(
But nevertheless you can try to get a used one from one if this guys here in the forum. Sometimes they sell one.;)

19 januari 2009 om 09:22 #145161The PromaCC is only 87,50 Euro! =)
8 maart 2009 om 19:45 #145181I now have my new Proma circuit pipe, my ciao runs alot better, I just wondered what size main jet I should be running with this set up, Malossi air filter, 13-13 carb, Malossi 43mm cilinder, Proma circuit. I think my Ciao is running a bit rich at the moment.
8 maart 2009 om 22:27 #145182I would say around 68
9 maart 2009 om 07:56 #145183Tip: use one or two parts of the steel filter from your original airbox in your malossi thing because it lets alot of debris through.
Nice setup, we’d love a little film of you cruising through the british countryside :- )
