Thanks to everybody! I really appreciate.
Anyway now the pipe is abit reduced in lenght, cuz was too much.I have to check if I have the vid of first start.
However……today I was almost going to cry, because of an unexpected accident.:'(
I’ve broke the crankshaft … even though I didn’t run it so hard.:?:boosOn the track I used to run it with the 70 pulley and normally overtaking the 85kmh without any problems.
I still can’t beleve it. I’ve just used this engine 3-4 times on track at maximum revs ,running very smooth.I’ve already disassembled the engine from the frame and the cnakshaft is broken exactly in the fly wheel fixing hole.
I’ve known that other users on ccc, broke the crank in the same way.So I suggest to all…..(we have to design an appropriate crank).

26 mei 2011 om 20:12 #487049Very cool SI Piontek, the paint is very nice and smooth and I like the exhaust as well.
It’s good that you made it a little shorter, it should look very cool now.Too bad you broke your crank though, it isn’t nice to take an engine running that smooth apart again.
I wish you good luck with that.<3 Thunderstone
Check mijn perso!26 mei 2011 om 21:13 #487051Why did you fix the carter with epoxywhen you have a TIG welding instalation to weld it with?
nice bike tough!
26 mei 2011 om 21:25 #487053thank you javad, nice to hear from you again.
To sebastard beacause the tig welding is the best choice but at the same time you transmitt a lot of heat through the carter.
This causes distortions on the surfaces of the carters.
To avoid any of these problems I just made a little weld, also beacause the wall where I did the weld was very thin, so it’s easy to make a hole through it.
Than I decide to put some epoxy , just to help the weld and fill the empty points.26 mei 2011 om 21:29 #487054oke,logical awnser!
(i’ve worked for 7years as a TIG welder,allu&inox)
keep up the good work!

I thought that Simonini did some sort of refund on this. But since his perso takes over more then 50 pages it is hard to find the correct story on this.
http://vespa-ciao.nl/forums.php?m=posts&q=3133&d=0The photo’s looks certainly not amusing. Hopefully this wouldn’t let you down of future progress. A few rounds on a circuit is way to little to enjoy this Si.
Edit: her it is. http://vespa-ciao.nl/forums.php?m=posts&q=3133&d=2250

1212 carb opened up till to 13mm or something more.
giannelli mega or leovince exhaust
Variomatic transmission made of polini utah and original clutch.
electronic ignition with lightened flywheel.here a photo of the frame that I started to shape yesterday.
23 juli 2011 om 13:11 #488653later I’ll post a picture of the cleaned frame.
