      Hello,
could somebody tell me how the second carburetor on the side inlet works? So far I see only a hole in the crankshaft in the middle of the bearing. There is no membrane or others only this hole? How is the fuel comming into the block from the side carboretor? How is the side carburetor steered in parallel to the other one?

Or is this all nonsense and I neeed to close the main inlet and use only the side inlet?

Does somebody have pictures showing how it looks when the engine is installed in a Ciao? So that I could get an idea how the side inlet carburetor is steered.=)

Hy Piet, both caburators are working and the side carburetor is working by an little membrane, with the set there is a splitter how split the gascable in two ore you use an extra gas lever (smal one like the decompressor) to open the second Carb.

My pinasco set with an polini fluid coold cilinder.

This engine is also fitted with an pinasco crankshaft With Full wangs? exept for the intake offcorse and a hole already in the tap?. You can bilt one from an original crankshaft just bore a hole.

A little membrane does the trick.

the 4 things on the bottom of this picture is the so called splitter so you can steer both carburators with one gashandle.
one cable goes in (on the left side) and two come out on the right side.

over here: http://www.mijnalbum.nl/Album=G4NK6R7Y I got some more pictures, but not how it looks installed on a ciao although my brother in law has it installed on his vespa si, the pictures isn’t very good, but at least you can see both carburators

            Hey,

            that looks promising.:thumb

Performance wise, where would you see that system together with a 46 mm Pinasco cyl.kit? Compared to a Simonini side inlet carter with the same cylinder or compared to a Polini Evo engine or Malossi engine.

Do I need to enlarge the frame for the side inlet or does it fit into the frame like it is? Any pictures from a mounted engine in a Ciao frame?

            Many questions:baby

            Thanks,
            Ralf
