wuha, maybe it is to hard for me. Will stay with the old fashion one. 😀
Hope this engine will run like expected. Painting of the frame will be finished end of April and then I can try the first test run.

short update on the paint work.
About 10 days ago I coated the frame with “roestige kleur”

after the first day the paint started rust

and now after some days holiday it is more rusty

4 mei 2011 om 09:11 #279171Thats some nice effect you got there.

5 juni 2011 om 19:50 #281131Nice engine tuning !
21 juni 2011 om 16:55 #281246after nothing was finished for the Texel Tour I drove the tour with my old Tour Oma. 😉
But still want to have this engine running this week.
So everything fixed with small adjustments

Then I filled benzin into the tank and saw that :boos

Tank is leaking. All frame work for nothing. :kots
By the way, there was a 70er sproeier in the carb. Isn’t that too small? I fixed a 84er now, would this work or what are your recommandations?
21 juni 2011 om 17:03 #281247DAmn,that must suck.
Nice engine btw
wha tyou can try is tank coating, its a 2 component epoxy that you poor int the tank, and fills any holes etc, also it prevents to get rust in your benzine21 juni 2011 om 17:36 #281248That to pitty ralf:(
And I have a 70 sproeier with a 43mm eurocilindro and polini filter.
I quess you have a 48mm simo, so 84 or a little bit bigger must be right with a polini filter.21 juni 2011 om 17:41 #281249That sucks man:(
I also have a question for youwhich cylinder did you drove with the VCT?
21 juni 2011 om 18:08 #281250yes, sucks, all the money for the frame and the painting. :'(
BDW, I have no experience with that 2 component epoxy. Do you have a link or some info from that?
Florian, my old tour Oma runs with a standard Kick block and 43mm Pinasco cylinder (cast iron, not Alu)
Andree, thanks.
21 juni 2011 om 18:36 #281251Which painting do you mean?:lol Maybe it become leaking by all the rust? You can solder it maybe?
21 juni 2011 om 18:54 #281252leovinc,its special paint, the paint has components in it that rust, the metal stays untouched!piet:i cant send a link right now,im internetting on my phone, but google on tank coating. Also you could send dartfreak a pm,he has used it to make his welded tank leakfree
