today I milled the carter in the exhaust tube area to get enough space for the 30mm exhaust tube. 😀

It’s for the balance.
There will be less fibrations in de krank and flywheel..
When you whatch the tires of a car you’ll see pieces of lead on the rims that’s also for the balanceEn hoe rendabel is het om dat ook met mijn ”standaard” blok te doen ?
En hoe weet ik eigenlijk hoeveel lood ik moet bij voegen en hoeveel gaten ik moet boren ?According to my dad you should have taken the weight of the piston, pen and springs with it because thats also a moving part with friction in the cilinder (not even speaking of the friction difference of intake stroke and outtake stroke). Also its impossible to get all the shakking and fibrations out of your engine since its 2stroke 1 cilinder. (I hope my dad is right since he worked and studied such things he’s a boat engineer and needed to balance 3,4 and 6cilinder engines also 2stroke and he says that you get the most result from a 6cilinder atleast it was the easiest to balance).
12 januari 2011 om 09:52 #276035just1991, your Dad is right. If you want to do it perfectly you need to add all weights of moving parts.
But that means, that I have to modify the new Simo kruk what is neutral balanced for use in our engines.
I’ve made the experience with a Muzzucchelli kruk and Pinasco flywheel (both also neutral balanced) that I have as good as no vibrations in my engine if both is neutral balanced.
On this engine I have to use a contact ignition flywheel and this flywheel is not neutral balanced like the Simo kruk. This will cause very heavy vibrations if I don’t balance the contact flywheel as well.
That is the same like if you put a neutral balanced Pinasco wheel on a standard kruk what is not neutral balanced.
9 maart 2011 om 18:58 #280055so, some progress here 😀

2 1/4 x 17″ still has space to the frame. Maybe 2 1/2 x 17″ will fit

The engine completed now. 😀

turns perfect 😉
9 maart 2011 om 19:38 #280058nice engine!
pink and orange :kots
just kidding… keep up the good work!
9 maart 2011 om 21:22 #280059Are you sure you want to ride the VCT on a hardtail frame without any suspension in the seat?:|
Bart(je) has a ciao racer with a fixed fiberglass seat and I can assure you that it is extremely unconforable, even on a smooth road.

9 maart 2011 om 23:35 #280062Nice engine ralf

But like arvid saying you not gona drive with that hard tail right?
Otherwise I will sponsor some free natural herbs for you @ the vct, because I think you gona need that to fight the amazing pains in your back:D10 maart 2011 om 15:52 #280066nice engine ralf Thad,s Power:D
11 maart 2011 om 13:41 #280077yes, that’s power man 😀
The color will change at the end when everything is finished as I still need to drill some holes, expand the back fender for a bigger tire and also want to weld some reinforcements to the frame.
And serious thinking if I should change the seat. :lol
23 april 2011 om 17:38 #280678so, engine fits into frame now.

now paint work is ongoing. 😀
23 april 2011 om 18:09 #280679Hot stuff ralf, what a cannon this will be.
