On my Bravo

31 december 2009 om 00:42 #275946I’m now measuring for use a Malossi variator for Minarelli.
Start gear with variator Malossi Multivar per moped
Start gear with variator Malossi Multivar for Minarelli.
Start gear with variator Malossi Multivar MHR for Minarelli.
Start gear with variator Malossi Multivar Over-range for Minarelli.
And now the final gear…
Ed ora i rapporti finali…follow the order of those above. That for Over Range, there are two photos.Obviously the initial report they drive is everything closed and final report should be fully open touches against the pulley fixed.

.-{2F4OV}-.Hey Pegano!
How do you wanna start your moped? Because there are no start segments in the minarelli clutch…
I suppose with a 230V drill on your crank;)

No 230V drill, but a 12V screwdriver with a little modification on the pivot.
31 december 2009 om 10:01 #275952Nice clutch, the development of your moped never stops 😀
What size of belt do you use? (width)
Minarelli has 16,5mm but how does that combine with the vespa malossi variator?
Or does the 13mm belt match with the clutch?
(I’m planning to mount a minarelli clutch on my moped too)31 december 2009 om 10:54 #275954Very nice indeed!
I have to see this on a track…

(I’m planning to mount a minarelli clutch on my moped too)Well…look at this list

ALTEZZA = SPESSORE = DEPTH
The part that makes the seal is the depth.
The width does not serve the seal, but only to use of larger diameter pulleys.
We do not need a wider belt, but more depth!
I use the belt Malossi for now.
I’m looking for a belt equal to Malossi, but only 8 mm in depth.
I hope you can understand my bad english…31 december 2009 om 11:41 #275956Thanks for the list.
So I understand you’re using the original 13.4mm malossi belt for Vespa Bravo? And that works well with the clutch?
Maybe if you look for car belts, they have more different sizes. But if the width of the belt is too small, it can’t reach the outer diameter of the clutch-pulleys. So the variation is reduced.
On the other side, when de belt is too wide, it can’t reach the inner diameter of the variator.
I’d say that’s a problem when you use a variator for a 13mm belt and a clutch for a 16,5mm belt.I hope you’ll understand my English too 😛

.-{2F4OV}-.Does the 12V screwdriver provides enough torque? That’s better:D
Look at my perso for photos of the repaired Heuvel Racing Clutch!

Well…yes, I’m using che Malossi belt for Bravo and the transmission work perfectly.
The car belts are no good…the good belt are use for other application. No no, the Malossi belt for moped has reached the maximum outer diameter of the pulleys that the lower limit. Work perfectly!!
For the variator…all the variator have the same inclination (multivar, multivar mhr, multivar over-rage for minarelli) and they have the same inclination of the multivar for moped.
The difference is the excursion on the cranckshaft.
I hope you understand this table for variators malossi.

I use the 12v or 18v screwdriver of Wurth.
About your clutch…What are the screed??31 december 2009 om 13:59 #275963pAGanO :

Good luck with the project.
