Waarom hij/zij zelf geen account aanmaakt om het zelf te posten weet ik niet :lolCarterino a disco rotante (Carter met roterende inlaatschijf)is a project of Franco Sprocatti who bought the project from Simonini 20 years ago.
5 years ago Sprocatti made a new engine with 4 prigionieri (4-taps blokje dus) and used the same system at disco rotante. Today only 4 prigionieri engines excist.
In Europe and Italy exist only few kit of disco rotante because Simonini produced only few kit. So they are extremely rare!
Disco rotante is a system with some problems: The disk sometimes break or flex, the carburation is difficult, the carterino with piattello is thick, the immision of fuel is not beatifull, collettors don’t have a good shape and ecc… but it’s a system that increases revs.
We decided to make a copy of carterino studing solutions for increase the performans of this kit.Some pictures:
We want to find a new system for locking the disk on the crank. But for now, Simonini’s system is the best.
The test: the original configuration are composed of:
carterino, engine 48 simonini corsa 46 mm, albero sprocatti corsa 46mm, marmitta simonini altissimo rendimento, carterone simonini.We have tested the carterino with 65 eurocilindro and a too bad exhoust. The engine started without any problem. There’s a video about it on youtube. I think it’s a miracle!
When it’s finished, and everything is working fine, I will made a small production of this.
