Hi everyone, I’ve got some malossi clutch spring here, there painted black, yellow and white.
Can someone tell me the order of the colours from stongest to weakest, also will a polini
top one fit my 1970 ciao o.k?20 oktober 2008 om 05:37 #145091i think the black are strongest
20 oktober 2008 om 07:08 #145092from weak to strong.
-black
-yellow
-white46 Pinasco, Malossi RV, Schijfrem, Fox Vario
Gele Racefrikandel20 oktober 2008 om 09:54 #145093mmmhhh, after ma experience the yellow ones are the weakest.
I think that the Polini Top One could fit the 70er Ciao because I drive a Proma Cirquit on my 70er Ciao and the fixing should be the same. But if you also have the 19″ wheels like I have you could get a space problem to your front wheel.

22 oktober 2008 om 00:46 #145094Yes, i also have 19″ wheels, i didn’t think there would be enough room between the front wheel
and the engine to fit the top one, maybe i’ll go for a proma cc, i have a tecno cc fitted at the
moment, but no one rates that pipe very high on here! Think i’ll stick the yellow springs in first,
see what happens, thankyou all for your help.Martin.
22 oktober 2008 om 11:14 #145095yes, the Tecno CC is crap compared to the Proma CC. I drive the Proma CC on a 43mm cylinder kit and it runs very good together.
I also drive the yellow Malossi mono clutch springs in the above setup. Compared to the white and black ones they react at lower RPM’s on my engine.

19 november 2008 om 01:11 #145099where did you guys find the 19″ wheels? or do ciaos come stock with them in your country?
i’d love to get a set for my ciaociao..19 november 2008 om 12:11 #145100They’re very rare.
The first few models had them.
I’d buy 19inch rims and get them spoked instead of searching for original ones.
20 november 2008 om 08:08 #145101yes, I have Ciao’s of build year 1968 and 1970 and both have the 19″ wheels. Think this was standard at that time. Up from 1971 there were 17″ wheels as far as I know.
29 november 2008 om 02:51 #145111yeah, my 71 has 17″ers. laaaaame
13 december 2008 om 23:19 #145129Hi terrydean my U.S. friend, how are things in the states? my U.K. 1970 ciao has 19″ wheels,
i think the gearing must be different in the hub for 17″ models, but i maybe wrong. -
