Personally not done the Malossi 46,5, but i know a lot of people where disappointed with this cylinder and it’s tuning potential. Although quite a few Italians are using this kit with a bigger exhaust flange.
With the Pinasco it is possible to adjust the cylinder wall so the piston doesn’t get struck. And if you are busy with your Dremel you can grind the booster also. So the mixture feeding will not only go through the piston.

but i know a lot of people where disappointed with this cylinder and it’s tuning potential.I dont know where you get that information, but I know al lot of people that find the malossi 46,5 the best cylinder when it comes to tuning potential.
(including myselfs)
So if you planning to tune your cylinder in the future than the 46,5 malossi or 46mm polini will be the best choice

Well, the malossi SHOULD be better for tuning, since the ports seems much more well built.
Think i’m gonna skip the pinasco, only found it cheap enough on american sites but then you gotta pay toll. On dutch/german sites it costed like 250 euro something??

Well thats sounds great, malossi is both cheap and easy to get. If i buy it cheap then i can afford to leave it in for some real tuning 😀
7 december 2010 om 17:31 #147997yes pinasco cost like 180 euro.. the malossi is cheap en great for tuning. Zeebodem has the malossi on a Evo no tuning and preform great 80 +- . i got the pinasco and every thing tuned 85+-
7 december 2010 om 21:30 #147998Then it should go over 85 with polini vario, 90/100 clutch (not sure yet), malossi untuned (except bigger outtake, 30mm), ported block, eurocilindro sideinlet (turbo), 19mm carb and calibrata for 30mm?
8 december 2010 om 11:50 #147999that’s never to say.. i should go over the 85 before we do every thing… but is not happend. Only my acceleration is extreme!
Its not so easy to go 90/100 gps with the vespa
10 december 2010 om 15:17 #148003well if 73 on gps with a dr evo 62cc is possible then it should be over 85 with sharper cilinder, exhaust, inlet etc.. right? 🙂
10 december 2010 om 15:30 #148004i have go with a dr evo 85 on gps, other time 65 its never to say.. too bad
10 december 2010 om 15:39 #148005Well ok at least the acceleration should be a bit better 😉
What you think is best, 43mm pinasco deps or 46,5 malossi? thinking about the pinasco now, MAYBE malossi 47 if i find it not too expensive..
10 december 2010 om 15:54 #148006Go for the Pinasco deps indeed. This cylinder almost always have the best blowdown between the cylinders you’ve stated.
Even better then a 47mm Malossi although the bigger bore would give this cylinder more power.10 december 2010 om 16:49 #148009Absolute the Athena , He pulls you where you…..The Malossi goes too hot very fast. And so he loose his power.Look to my ex racing ciao.

10 december 2010 om 18:51 #147828idd athena quality sucks.. tooooo bad
10 december 2010 om 20:57 #148014How about exhaust to the pinasco? since its 27mm, i can only find malossi too bad? aren’t there other exhaust, or adapters? 🙂
10 december 2010 om 22:22 #148015The Pinasco Deps comes with a 22mm and 28mm exhaust flange. Of wich one of them you can mount. So you need to make your exhaust with a bigger diameter, because the Too bad will not fit. There are also some 27mm Sito exhausts and Fabrizi though.
