Maybe the mhr engine owners(japie, vespaflappie) can tell us a little about it.Yeah, check out the partnumber on 50cc.nl – 18610.
But also, smaller than 19mm seems kind of wierd because it would be space between the manifold and the carb? Well, hope japie or vespaflappie sees this and maybe they can enlighten us :con
But Edjuh, which krukas do you have to the engine? Malossi or Mazzuchelli?
25 mei 2006 om 21:52 #268740I have a mazzuchelli, and im going to try a regular one in my evo engine(somebody told my it worked quite well even though it isn’t ideal).
25 mei 2006 om 22:49 #268741The Problem with The Malossi MHR Engine isn’t the manifold, you can get that with no problems…
The real problem is that the Carburator that is specially made for the Malossi Engine isn’t available anymore! They took it out of production 3 years ago….
Its an special 19 phbg Ds from Dell’orto, the normal hasn’t got the 2 bolt fix…You do can make some kind of own manifold by taking a malossi manifold for an peugeot buxy….
The only carburator you’re getting is an 17mm Phbg Dell’orto, It costs about 114 Euro’s in combination with an Malossi Red Filter and a Manifold….
I didn’t took this because I didn’t want a Carburator less than 19mm…
But I’m convinced that even an MHR engine with a 17mm carburator is faster than an Evo Engine(and than Thing can fly like hell!)..
I think you’d better fix an home made manifold if you want a bigger carburator….
I even thought about an 21mm carburator(and take a Peugeot Buxy/speedake/zenith manifold), The engine van handle that amount of gasoline easily, but ‘I wsn’t sure about the Deps Cilinder, the singel intake port isn’t that big, in fact it’s rather small….
I don’t believe that 1 port can feed all those ports(There aren’t almost any blind ports so they must get gasoline to work)
I hope you got enough info, if you got anymore questions, ask and I will try to answer them properly:)
Succes!
Edit: Fuck!,Edjuh I’m sorry, I forgot to post your deps! I will doe it tomorrow….I’m pretty busy with my Aprillia RS…
26 mei 2006 om 00:21 #268742Iam sure the polini is slower because of the cilinder. Still you get like 19mm on your evo engine wich is pretty fast.
Flappke you had both engines or not, you went allot faster with the malossi engine?
To bad they don’t have some sort of carter wich you can put a scooter cilinder on 😀 ( not sprocatti of 1280 euro)
1 juni 2006 om 08:53 #268743Hmmm thats bad news about the carb! Maybe some shops have some left, after all the mhr engine itself isn’t made anymore either.
Well then I reaaaaaaaly hope J@pie can hustle some more of these: >CLICK<
Thanks in advance there japie 😉@ Hans yeah flap had both the engine’s, and the new simonini has 4 “tapeinden” as well so maybe scootcil’s are also ‘mountable’.
@Flap, o yeah no problem, as long as i get it:)
1 juni 2006 om 10:14 #268744So, Vespaflappie, you’re saying that the intake manifold on 50cc (part number 18610) doesn’t fit a 19 mm carburator? 🙁
Because I e-mailed 50cc and specificly asked if that manifold could fit the same carburator that comes with the Evo engine and they answered yes.. So now I’ve just ordered it and then I see here that it doesn’t fit? 🙁
1 juni 2006 om 12:07 #268745Has someone got a picture of the special PHBG mounting flange? I’ve maybe got an idea to fix that little problem. Maybe a carb from a Honda MB will fit, those have a two bolt mounting flange as well.

So, Vespaflappie, you’re saying that the intake manifold on 50cc (part number 18610) doesn’t fit a 19 mm carburator?
Only the one specificly made for this manifold/flange(?).
The evo carb won’t fit just like that either, did they really told you so?? And did you order a new 19mm(evo) carb?
That sucks, maybe the manifold/flange can be adjusted so it does fit, but the 50cc.nl people dissappoint me!!

No, I didn’t order the evo-carb yet but I ordered the crankcase and the manifold..
But they really told me that the 19mm evo-carb should fit on that intake.

Vraag: Hello!
I would like to order the Malossi Race Crankcase (partnumber 15884) from
you, but I have a questions I was hoping you could answer first.Do you have any carburator-kit for that crankcase? For example 17 or 19
mm carburator? And if you do, how much would it cost?Hope to hear from you!
Best regards!

Thank you for your answer!
Does the partnumber 18610 mean that the intake is 19mm or that the
carburator should be 19mm? Does a PHBG 19mm carburator fit on that intake,
so I can use the same 19mm carburator as the one on the Polini Evolution
Engine?Best regards!
