      Millen :
Difference between the old and the new engine:
      – Cylinder 4 holes. ( old 3 )
      – Piston size mm. 47,60 ( old mm. 48 )
      – Exhaust : new model.
      – Carburetor mm. 21 ( old 26 mm. )

I think that the carburetor sucks..why do they make him smaller if they make the rest better and bigger..i don’t get that..

You get 4HP more so why would you care about it?

Edit @hans: if the hole topic is in english please talk in english so millen can read it to.

              aah cool…

millen.. you should look up te exact percentage of the metals used in these rims so they dan configure the crhoming machine ad the right “(electrical)tension” and you’re off chroming :). Or hopefully these rims are pure Aluminium then it’s no problem at all.. 😀

November Rain: I don’t know if the rims are CNC or CBA or anything 😐

Anyway, they are the most used rims here in Sweden.. I would really like to chrome the rims, but it costs a small fortune. And with the engine and the paint, I don’t have so much money right now, but I’m looking around for companys that can chrome the rims for a reasonable price.

So hopefully the rims will be chromed sooner or later 😀

But for now, the engine is my priority one!:con

                  The engine is really wicked:D

Did u ordered the engine already btw?

                    Yeah it’s awsome! 😀

No, the engine is not ready yet, they’re still testing it, but they told me it would be ready in may/june.. So I really hope it’s ready soon. I talked to them in january and then they told me the engine should be ready in mars, so I talked to them again in mars and they said it wouldn’t be ready until may/june.

And now that it is may/june I’m gonna talk to them AGAIN and I really really hope they’ll say it’s ready or else my summer will be destroyd.. :'(

Btw, I think you’re gonna find some Ciao-freak-girl soon! 😀

Naah an CNC machine is an device/machine that MAKES rims…

so you put in an raw piece of aluminium (or iron for example) and then you ‘draw’ the rim you want on the software and the machine starts grinding and stuff and so and then you have you’re own rim :). But you need like a big piece of metal.

Erm if these rims are made from the stuff where ‘our’ (dutch) rims are made off then it’s gonna be tricky. The chroming machine needs to deliver the right “electrical tension” to chrome the parts.. if NOT… you could ruin your rims because they are like “corrosively attacked” and then your rims start to degrade (damn english is hard :P) and will fall apart (worst case).

If the rims are properly made the “legering” (<–dutch word) should be the same in all spots of the rim and so the, i guess, REDUCTION (or oxidation but i thought it would be the reduction) POTENTIAL should be the same at all spots of the rim. And i guess THAT is what these chroming guys need to know.

But it would be the most easy way if you figure out the email of phonenumber of the company that made the rims and then ask them for this information (and ofcourse tell the reasons) you should be fine i guess 😉

Hey guys. I’m really sorry about the pics of how we’re gonna do with the disc brake, I know I promised you some pics today..

But it’s just too hard for me to try to explain in english. 🙁 I hope you don’t mind waiting until we actually has fastened the disc brake, then you’ll se how we did.

Btw: I’ve been sand-blasting more today, it’s not finished yet but soon. 🙂 And also, I bought a killswitch yesterday. 🙂

@Millen, nice work, and even a better setup :P. I could advise you to weld the little triangles shut. This makes the frame much more rigid, and will improve cornering handling very much at high speed. Try to fix a couple of plates, made of sheet metal, and weld those in there. With the triangles I mean the hole situated @ the front of the rear wheel and rear fender.

For a better torque distribution throughout the engine’s RPM range. Bigger isn’t always better ;).
The Simo-setup doens’t work with a variator, but with a fixed reduction. A fixed reduction means that the engine has to pull well down below in RPM’s to the higher RPM range, which means it has to have a wide power band. With a variator the power band can be made much smaller, since the engine is operated in a smaller RPM range. Hope you get it ;).

if you put on a too big carb it starts “choking” in the low rpm’s

but was the bigger carb on the old simonini then good? the old engine had lower PK..so you think that that choking was then even more in low rpm’s if they had a bigger carb, or am I wrong again???
