Finally (after 2 years..) changed the tail lamp light bulb and the small pilot lamp in the front lamp but the results weren’t what I hoped for.
– When using the head lamp + tail lamp the tail lamp is really weak and flickers.
– When using pilot lamp + tail lamp they are both really instense and breaks after 5 min when driving.Previous owner had put a diode in series with the tail lamp, which stops it from breaking but then it is barely visible when combined with the head lamp.
Any ideas? Should I try another lightning coil?

2 oktober 2017 om 15:48 #123585Which lamps do you use? 6 or 12v?
2 oktober 2017 om 19:30 #123586They are all 6V
3 oktober 2017 om 06:36 #123587You should use 12 volts with a fast setup like yours.

Check mijn perso!3 oktober 2017 om 12:41 #123588Ok, but I guess I can keep the headlight bulb 6V (the P26s) as that one does not break?
3 oktober 2017 om 14:06 #123589I guess you can. I’m driving DR Evo and I have to use 12 V, if I use 6V the bulbs will break, maybe with you it’s different.
I can’t help you with the light problem, i make my own wiring.
What’s a pilot light? Is it a small secondary tubelight in your headlight?<3 Thunderstone
Check mijn perso!3 oktober 2017 om 14:32 #123590and check the grounding because of the flickering
5 oktober 2017 om 17:22 #123595Update
Changed to the correct coils for the flywheel I have and now both the tube lamp, 5W/12V, and the tail lamp, 4W/12V, works fine 🙂
Still don’t understand why the head lamp that is 15W/6V survives and actually is’t that bright….Update
The tail light lamp broke again… The problem could be that I’m using an old-timer coil with a newer flywheel giving too high voltage. The pilot light is the small tube light in the headlight.
Changed the tail lamp and tube lamp to 12V variants, 4W/12V for the tail lamp and 5W/12V for the tube lamp.
The head lamp is still 15W/6V (for some reason the P26s head lamp seems to be more voltage tolerant than the other two lamps)When running head lamp + tail lamp the load is 19W and the voltage seems to be at a reasonable level giving OK light performance.
A 10W head lamp would probably be even better but I can’t find any P26s with 10W/6V.When running tube lamp + tail lamp the load is only 9W and the voltage is still too high so the lamps will most likely not last long.
Not a big issue since I never run it in that mode. -
