Hi, I’ve tried to fit my kick engine into a 1993 Ciao frame. But it looks that the Ciao frame is some millimeters smaller than the the ori kick engine frame.
Ciao frame width : about 105mm

and kick engine frame width about 108mm

Do I need to press the engine with great power into the Ciao frame or does the frame need to be reworked, enlarged? Also the hole for the kick drive in the Ciao frame looks a little bit small. Do I need to rework the hole too?
Possibly somebody could post some pics how to fit the engine.;)

the hole in the frame is to small, so you have to cut it out.
the frame is also a little bit to small, but with some power(and some little bending) you will get your engine between it.

What I did (makes it a lot easier to get the engine in) is enlarge the hole on the left side of the frame too. I made the hole larger/lower. This way it’s easier to make the ’turn’ with the engine. Then you don’t have to start with the cilinder downwards and twist it in…
(The other option is what Nuckelchen did…) Should work fine but it’s not my first choice…
I came, I saw, and I forgot what I was doing...

that’s a very good idea
Do you know roughly how much you enlarged your hole on the left side? 5mm, 10mm, ……?
I think making a cut like Nuckelchen for me looks to unstable as the frame is splitted over the half length.
