still needs variator tuning. But the Honda ruckus variator shifts much smoother than the malossi that came with the overdrive setup. I hit a top speed of 47 mph but the rpms were not where they should be I’ll swap to some lighter weights and try again.

The parts were cheap. I’m curious how the variated tomos engine with a puch kstar 70cc (45mm) compares to the Vespa polini 46mm with the reed case half on my kinetic.I made a plate to hold the ignition since the crankshaft needed to be flipped for the variator to be on the correct side.

I bought a mcproparts input shaft to use my 9.49:1 gears in my mini grande. I went cheap with the clutch for now using a jog clutch and bell.

Here is a ciao I built recently out of extra parts. My buddy gave me the frame so I figured I should build it. Stock ported 50cc engine, fire pipe, pinto forks, 16” snowflake mags
My buddy that gave me the ciao frame was asking about a water cooled head for his ciao project. I figured I owed him one since he hooked me up with the frame.
