Thanks, receiving the moped of the month is awesome. Especially for the kinetic, it’s typically a bike people don’t like here in the states. Most of the time people buy them to swap the motor in a Vespa since it came with cdi ignition setup and 12 volt lights.

Yeah, I cut the taper on my lathe for it to fit the crankshaft.

Here are some photos of the pipe I’ve been building for the bike.87A190DB-E1A2-49A0-895B-CBE44B82C01C8A9F07E3-8869-4692-85A6-002C0C550FFD7F1AD96E-533D-4E01-A09D-1C5CB6677C29

I could have known, of course, how to adjust an ignition, but I just had to know for sure if you really had the guts to adjust it this way 😎
Always nice to see how 2D steel can become a 3D resonance chamber :thumb
Allways a plessure to see your work progress, Succes !!

I’ve seen many more people trying these type of innerrotor ignitions on a Piaggio/Citta, but sooner or later the rotor broke down or show some cracks. This might have something to do with the clutch or variator which has to be bolded on very tightly. Did you consider some strengthening of the rotor itself?

I’ve seen the rotor used on a few builds before. It seemed to me that all the ones that cracked the builder had mounted a fan to it. I’m using a water cooled head so I won’t need a fan. But If there is a problem I can machine a steel sleeve to slide the rotor over.

Nice work on the clutch
PvR has also a innerrotor with the cnc fan.

What software dit you use to calculate the pipe?
And Itf you want a tip:
If you take a round piece of solid aluminium and you keep it on the back of the weld, you won,t burn through the plate.

I have 2 stroke wizard from buildandclick.com but for this pipe I used the specs from the Peugeot Doppler pipe. I found the dimensions on the mopedarmy.com website.

i like the idea of using aluminum behind the weld I’ll have to try that next time.

                              • have a very weak spark from the ktm cdi setup. I’m waiting for another cdi box hopefully that solves the issue. Here is how the bike currently sits. I also painted my rear snowflake mag for the kinetic.
