6 mei 2009 om 12:38 #439820So now, with the new name..bad news of my VCT engine.
Just take a lokk at this.

Suddenly the engine did not run well at the stand.
I wondered why, because before the function and power of the engine was very good.
After disassembling the cilinder I saw the reason of the damage.
Through those “holes” the motor got wrong air.Now I have to get a new engine for the VCT..
But no matter how, I will drive the tour.;)Gruß, Fabian
6 mei 2009 om 13:05 #439824Too bad 🙁
Get rid of that epoxi glue stuff, it sucks because it evenually lets loose 😐

Home made engine dyno6 mei 2009 om 13:43 #439829I can’t see the pictures…
6 mei 2009 om 15:12 #439838Now you cann see the pictures again. 😉
Yes, I will tune the next engine wwithout this “epoxid glue” if it is not necessary.
I think at friday the inlet of the new enigne will be finished.6 mei 2009 om 16:09 #439846You don’t need to throw that engine away. I got a hole in mine as well and it ran like a champ for about 3000kms (untill the bearings got wasted :lol)
I used Bison Kombi (2 component) glue for metal.
After my bearings were cooked, I opened up the engine, and the metalglue was still there and in perfect condition 😉This is what I used: http://www.bison.nl/NL/nl/view.do?UID=af993e0fc2c7dd2dc07c04
12 mei 2009 om 21:02 #439991Nice project. I should enlarge the exhaust port to perform the flow of the cilinder. Nice equipment tools you have, looks very professional. Epoxy glue won’t work at an long time. Better to weld the housing, keep on going (and posting:))
22 augustus 2009 om 17:14 #436227Here a litle trailer of what is coming new. 😉
22 augustus 2009 om 17:19 #436233Thats a great clip 😀 Road runner at the end :p
And offcourse, a beautifull Vespa
:22 augustus 2009 om 17:33 #436189hej nice movie with a funny end 😛
what is the top speed you reached at the moment?
22 augustus 2009 om 18:26 #436185Thanks a lot!
I reached nearly 86 km/h or 85 GPS.
You can ask Hansieb, I was a bit faster as he was.8)
My setup at the VCT was:
– tuned carter
– tuned DR evo
– DR cilinderhead
– tuned crankshaft
– 13/13 Dell Orto
– Malossi airfilter
– contact ignition with 700g flywheel and special ignition cable
– SKF 6202 C3 crank bearings
– 6,5 citta gearbox, 80mm pulley, small 30mm clutch with black Polini springs (18%)I will change the cilinder with a 42mm Fabrizi Torriani and tune the crankshaft a bit better.
The rest will be the same.
But I will make a totally new frame on basis of the ’69 Ciao L frame.
Last VCT I drove the black ’93 Ciao P.
15 september 2009 om 21:07 #454389Today I was a bit bored and so I decided to tune a bit and do something new.
I think this is not bad for my first try, but the shape is very different to make, because you can break through nearly everywhere. For the solution of a “membransystem” I thought about the “membrans” of the Polini Evolution “membrankit” or a “membranblok” of my Blata. The first version will be easier, so I will do this at first.
What do you think about it?
Arwid had made something like this. I hae een this engint once, but I can not find the link.Gruß, Fabian
15 september 2009 om 22:21 #454392Nice stuff mate! hope it will run nice again and to check you next year on vct10.
17 september 2009 om 16:04 #454423We will see us at the VCT ’10.
But I will drive with the same engine as ’09.
Today I just thought about how I could to it better and how I could improve the performance.KLICK
