Here’s my projekt of the VCT-Ciao.
I started by collecting all parts for the engine.

      After it was done.

Then I have made an adapter plate of aluminum for the crankshaft for pressing the beraings on it.

After assembling the motor it looked like this.
I will clean the “polrad” and the ignition cable I have made of a better cupper cable by myself.

The Polini or DR I will process like this to open the ports.

Setup: engine tuned – crankshaft tuned – 6202-Z C3 SKF bearings – 13mm Dell Orto – Polini airfilter tuned –
contact ignition – 700g “polrad” – 70cc Eurocilindro – DR cilinder head with central spark plug – Proma CC

      More stuff coming soon!
      Cheers, Fabian

nice way to match your case ports to the cilinder ports!

          Tom ciao

            nice 😉
            your inlet is huge!

You did some very nice work on the engine with that machine:thumb

Now some pics of the ciao on which the engine will be mounted:D

Yeah, here some pictures of the inlet.

Here the adapter plate for the crankshaft and the place I worked on.

This is looking great! You did a nice job on this one… Is the inlet still closing well? Because the contact area with the crankshaft isn’t that great as it used to be.

wow that’s great how you tuned your engine.

                      .-{2F4OV}-.

I hope the inlet still shuts properly;)

If it does, it will run very nice:thumb

                          Yes it does.
Now I have got the 43mm DR Evo for the VCT.
For opening the boost ports completetly the cilinder had to be tuned a bit.

Here I have tuned the cilinder at the boost ports and cleaned the inlet and outlet ports of the cilinder.

                          Here it is assembled.

                          Gruß, Fabian

So this frame will get original again.
I have got another one from 1969 for this engine, but I have to paint it and so on

Today the weather was bad an I could not make a new vid.
Here are two vids of my projekt.
                            [YOUTUBE=qo4Wedj1SXs]

                            [YOUTUBE=xDJleBTqCGs]
The engine has a too big main jet and I have to look after the cilinder, because it is new.
At the second vid I just drive half the potencial of the gas as I can drive.

                            Gruß, Fabian

Sounds good, i bet it’s a potent engine! nice job.

However, i wouldn’t make the cuts in the cylinder’s skirt since the piston takes care of feeding the boostports. Now you have two streams that go through the same port and cause turbulence( or so i think). It should be 1 of the two; piston OR case-fed, but the cylindermakers keep in mind that some don’t work on their crankcase and so the piston helps feeding.

I wonder what others think. And the picture of the pinasco 46mm is from quite a long time ago : -)

I know, I will try do make it ab bit better later on.
Now the engine runs very well. Do you think because of the cuts the engine won’t run that good?

@ Piet: No, I don’t need to ask for it, I am allowed to use it every time. I just need the key, if the door is closed. 😉

This morning I drove a bit more and I am satisfied with the engine.
It just need to run a bit more for the full potencial.
