Here’s my projekt of the VCT-Ciao.
I started by collecting all parts for the engine.

Then I have made an adapter plate of aluminum for the crankshaft for pressing the beraings on it.

After assembling the motor it looked like this.
I will clean the “polrad” and the ignition cable I have made of a better cupper cable by myself.

The Polini or DR I will process like this to open the ports.
Setup: engine tuned – crankshaft tuned – 6202-Z C3 SKF bearings – 13mm Dell Orto – Polini airfilter tuned –
contact ignition – 700g “polrad” – 70cc Eurocilindro – DR cilinder head with central spark plug – Proma CCMore stuff coming soon!
Cheers, Fabian23 maart 2009 om 15:04 #438533Looking good 😀 Do you have a good picture of your inlet?
23 maart 2009 om 15:21 #438534nice way to match your case ports to the cilinder ports!

Tom ciaonice 😉
your inlet is huge!23 maart 2009 om 15:43 #438536
.-{2F4OV}-.You did some very nice work on the engine with that machine

Now some pics of the ciao on which the engine will be mounted:D
23 maart 2009 om 16:01 #43853823 maart 2009 om 16:47 #438540This is looking great! You did a nice job on this one… Is the inlet still closing well? Because the contact area with the crankshaft isn’t that great as it used to be.
23 maart 2009 om 17:28 #438542wow that’s great how you tuned your engine.

n!ck*sthis looking great rckstr

nice work23 maart 2009 om 20:47 #438551
.-{2F4OV}-.I hope the inlet still shuts properly;)
If it does, it will run very nice
1 april 2009 om 12:15 #43877618 april 2009 om 00:16 #439231So this frame will get original again.
I have got another one from 1969 for this engine, but I have to paint it and so on

Today the weather was bad an I could not make a new vid.
Here are two vids of my projekt.
[YOUTUBE=qo4Wedj1SXs][YOUTUBE=xDJleBTqCGs]
The engine has a too big main jet and I have to look after the cilinder, because it is new.
At the second vid I just drive half the potencial of the gas as I can drive.Gruß, Fabian
18 april 2009 om 07:40 #439236Sounds good, i bet it’s a potent engine! nice job.
However, i wouldn’t make the cuts in the cylinder’s skirt since the piston takes care of feeding the boostports. Now you have two streams that go through the same port and cause turbulence( or so i think). It should be 1 of the two; piston OR case-fed, but the cylindermakers keep in mind that some don’t work on their crankcase and so the piston helps feeding.
I wonder what others think. And the picture of the pinasco 46mm is from quite a long time ago : -)
18 april 2009 om 07:43 #439237hehehe, nice, did you ask the housekeeper again for using the track:D

I know, I will try do make it ab bit better later on.
Now the engine runs very well. Do you think because of the cuts the engine won’t run that good?@ Piet: No, I don’t need to ask for it, I am allowed to use it every time. I just need the key, if the door is closed. 😉
This morning I drove a bit more and I am satisfied with the engine.
It just need to run a bit more for the full potencial. -
