      Hi,
I got that exhaust, but can’t see any sign what tells me what exhaust it is.

I saw a picture from Speedbuxy with a Zirri and that looks very similar to that exhaust. Question, is it a Zirri?
If not, what exhaust could it be and what performance characteristic does it have?

Yeah it look like a zirri, but seller(s)on ebay call it a fabrizi.
But both brands should have a brand mark, cause fabizi and zirri normaly put this on there exhausts.
        (so it,s a strange one)

yes, I thought so when I saw your picture 🙂

If it is a Zirri, is it good running with 43mm cylinder with vario?

I find the zirri (that looks like this model) a pretty good exhaust and it was driving pretty nice on my 43mm euro:thumb
So the vario only would be a bonus for him;)
But the belly of this exhaust is a bit smaller in length so I don,t think it will have the same performances as the look a like zirri.
I not say it worse, maybe it,s even better, who knows.

Finally someone bought this exhaust. I’ve also seen this exhaust advertised as beeing a Fabrizi. But always had my doubts seen the state of this exhaust. It looks lke it had some changes, strange muffler and securing for instance. How are these weldings made?
I think someone had made there own exhaust from it.

              Example

so the weldings are looking not too bad for me.

Also there is a bracket to hang it with a spring to the cylinder, that shows a kind of professional kind.
In addition there is a bracket connecting the manifold to the first conus for stabilisation. This bracket is grinded away a little because it has collision with the engine block.

If I would weld an exhaust by myself I would not add that stupid bracket in collision with the engine block. 🙂

That bracket is something zirri would use:lol
But maybe its a old model or something, cause it not really look like a home made sort of thing.
                  (weldings are pretty smooth)

wuhaha, now I need to modify the bracket as it still has contact to the plastic fly wheel cover :lol

I also have never seen that type of gold colored silencer.

Still I find the looks is more Fabrizi other than Zirri. Here’s some pictures of a Fabrizi SX which has some striking resemblance with your exhaust. Also the same sort of brackets for using spring securing are used on Fabrizi’s.

If you look closely at the bottom photo, it even looks like there is your stabilisation bracket.:)

                        Find the differences:

                        I say it’s a Fabrizi look a like

yeha, I’m now also saying it is a Fabrizi. That is nice as I bought it saying it is a Fabrizi. 😀

Any idea about the performance characteristic?

Sorry I can’t help you with that. I don’t think anyone overhere has this exhaust and just looking at it from photo’s could foul yourself when talking about perfrormance. I think it’s best to test it yourself and post your findings here. I had a quick look at the Italian forum since i took the photo’s from there, but could’nt find any more info.

oh, ok, I thought it was your Fabrizi on the pic 😀

My plan is to drive it with a 43mm Athena on a modified Kick engine, 13mm carb and with vario.

I will keep you informed on the performance with that setup.

No info on performances but found some interesting catalogue pictures of the Fabrizi.

It looks like this exhaust was beeing used with the bigger cylindres, but we should see how this performs on the 43mm Athena.

wow, that is interesting stuff, thanks for looking into it.

Do you allow that I post this pics on our German forum?
