Hello, I will have the chance to get some larger diameter front gear wheels for the 2-gear Bravo transmission.
This gear wheels will be produced special for the use on the Bravo 2-gear krukas tooth.
The outer diameter will be around 80mm and will have 32 tooth.
Material of the gear wheel will be AlMgSi1 with a hard anodized surface coating.
It will come with the right length drive belt adapted to the larger gear wheel diameter.
If there is an interest for somebody to buy this custom gear wheel, please let me know.
Here a standard gear wheel with standard diameter to show about what we are talking.

24 september 2013 om 18:47 #247432I’m definitely interested in this larger timing belt pulley. Do you have a price estimation already?
24 september 2013 om 18:58 #247433Very nice initiative Ralf!
I came, I saw, and I forgot what I was doing...24 september 2013 om 18:59 #247434
24 september 2013 om 19:52 #247435Definately interested, depending on the price ofcourse. Also is it not a great idea to make these gear wheels already adepted to a normal crank? The toothed cranks from the original 2 and 3 speed are not that common and almost always with (“snor” or “mofa”) timings. Also this means the use of a full round crank is possible.
Also the possibility to get hold on a measured drive belt for Ciao or Si?
24 september 2013 om 20:21 #247436Martino, 😀 you are thinking about the evo style of that gear wheel.
For now only that specific type will be manufactured. Thinking about different drive belt length maybe possible as this will not need a special tool.
And there we are at the point of cost.
There will be one time fix cost for the tool and one time fix shipping cost for a batch of gear wheels.
Manufacturing cost and material is a very small amount of the cost.
Assuming producing a batch of 5 gear wheels we need to split the tool cost and shipping cost on to the 5 wheels plus manufacturing and material cost of each wheel.
So for this batch of 5 wheels the estimated total cost with splitted fix cost and shipping to Germany is about 78,- to 80,- Euro per wheel with drive belt.
If we can make more than 5 wheels the cost can be reduced.

I was thinking Simo 2007 engine perhaps. 😀
Still I’m interested even when they are only for the original toothed cranks.
The price is still a problem, but i know the manfacturing is very pricey. Hopefully you will find more interested people in Germany. In Holland there are not that many owners of this 2 speed system, maybe a personal message would make them interested. Here you will find a list of 2-speed owners and there extra items.

Fill in Citta89 instead of Jarco.24 september 2013 om 21:11 #247439I’m only interested when there’s a belt that fits on Ciao (and I know 2-speed doesn’t fit on Ciao without modifications to the frame).
No need to PM VespaAvanti I think… I have his wheel + gearbox. So it’s just Martino, Citta89 and myself.
Maybe Vincent if he still has the parts, does anyone know? And there will probably be some other users who own 2-speed parts.Yes, Vincent still has the parts, but last time i spoke with him he was also busy making his own gearpoelies.
Oh and, as Martino, I would much rather have one that fits a regular crankshaft. I do have the splined shaft, but it’s just not a common part.24 september 2013 om 21:58 #24744080 euro/pulley is too much for me. There is a huge assortment of standard timing belt pullies with different shaft connections, so adjusting such a pulley for a normal crankshaft is not that much work. My interest expires therefore.
25 september 2013 om 07:41 #247441Hey Piet,
I had the same idea of making larger pulley’s but, because of the price i decided to make an other plan. I made a new ring for the rear pulley so that you can use a multi v belt instead of the original belt.
First i cut the original tooth of the clutch housing

And then made an 4pk multidrivebelt ring thats a little bit smaller than the clutch housing diameter
Heated the ring and cooled the clutch housing, then let the ring cool on the clutch housing.

This way it is very easy to make your own front poulie’s on a turning lathe.
I’ll make some pictures of the completed set next week when i’m in my garage.
27 september 2013 om 08:56 #247445so, I talked to RC-freak, who is handling the manufacturing of the gear wheels.
From that he is willing to change his mind and manufacture the gear wheels with a inner diameter form (halfmoon) what fit on the standard krukas and not on the special 2-gear krukas.
Outer diameter and tooth number will stay like on his drawing above.
Who is willing to order that type wheel for standard krukas?
