I have bought the Malossi 51-3863 variator, told that is a good one for a tuned bike.

I don´t really understand how to install it, the enclosed instructions a bit vague to say the least.

Can anyone help me with some pictures showing this.

Wich rolls is the best to obtain the best acceleration?
I don´t care for top speed, I just want it to be a fast starter.

What is your impression about the Malossi variator, is it good or crap?

Thanks for the input, I still don´t see where to put the large yellow spring thou.

My recent setup are quite mild I think:

Dr Evo 43 mm cylinder, the crankcase will be adjusted to meet the ports.
The local race regulations are 70 cc aircooled and 50 cc liquid cooled so I won´t pass the 70 cc limit.

          Polini Top One exhaust pipe

The carb will be a setup of my own, I will come back to that when I have decided my choice.

Lightened flywheel to help the engine rev up faster.
The moped will be run only in short dragraces so I plan to drive it without cooling fins on the flywheel.
To ease up the revving the light coil will be removed too.

Perhaps I also will run it on E85 but time will tell.

I still need help to understand the Malossi variator installation, see the beginnig of my reply.

OK, I see, I didn´t realize it was meant for the clutch, I expected it to be with the variator…
              Thanks a lot.
Note that I have an Super Bravo but the clutch looks just the same on the picture from JMPB.

How does the tiny yellow springs affect the clutch?
