History of DR cilinders

41mm / 60ccm DR (Athena-Layout)/mine

The 41mm is the rarest cilinder of the DR-series and is not in production any longer.
The layout is a bit similar to those of Athena. Excellent performance through all rpms and the well known good
quality of DR are typical for this cilinder.
The piston has one L-Ring.

Technical Features:

– Boring surrounding = 40,98mm
– Piston in direction to pin = 40,90mm
– Piston square to pin = 40,92mm
– Stroke = 43mm
– Compaction with DR-head = 1:10,8
– Pin = 10mm (12mm war auch erhältlich)
– Outlet inside = 19,20mm
– Outlet ourside = 22,50mm
– “Minachrom” added cilinder

Portmap:

– Cilinder top to outlet= 29mm
– Cilinder top to ÜS = 35mm
– Cilinder top to sddition-ÜS = 37mm
– Piston-ÜS width = 25,66mm
– Piston-ÜS hight = 6,26mm

a really nice idea, very interesting to see the portmaps and pictures (ive always wanted a dr60 but they stopped making them 🙁 )

43mm / 63ccm DR (Olympia-Layout)

This cilinder is similar to the 43mm Olympia and fits on the original blok.
Unfortunatly DR stopped to produce them. Olympia produces them yet. You can get them at Motori Luppino. This one schould run very good, but I do not have any own experiences with this cilinder. The processing is typical for DR, solid and qualitatively.

Technical Features:

– Boring surrounding = 42,97mm
– Borung in direction pin= 42,89mm
– Boring square to pin = 42,91mm
– Stroke = 43mm
– Pin = 10mm (12mm available)
– Outlet inseide = 18,40mm
– Outlet outside = 22,20mm
– “Minachrom” added cast iron cilinder

Portmap:

– Piston-üs width = 23,46mm
– Piston-üs hight = 5,25mm

ik heb ze alledrie gehad en het is ongelofelijk jammer dat er geen 80cc gemaakt is door dr die had ik wel graag willen zien strijden tegen malossi & polini
