i was wondering if someone could translate some text to dutch for me! we are trying to get people excited about the polini cup moped racing here in the states, so one of our guys typed up this little piece that we are posting around everywhere!
the text i need translated is this;
Hey,
I thought you all might like to check out the Live Broadcast of the 2009 Polini USA Cup.
MopedTV will be in Atwater, California next week, May 2nd and 3rd covering the entire event live.
This event features:
-Pocketbikes
-Mopeds
-Gopeds
-Scooters
-GokartsIn addition to the racing we will have interviews with the riders and tuners, the Saturday night party and the Sunday awards ceremony. This is the second race and broadcast in what’s
shaping up to be an amazing season. Pocket bikes were really bringing their A game, you should have seen 12 year old Valentine lapping almost everyone on the track, she was hardcore. The adult racers fought some great battles and some pro racers out from Georgia were in town to shake things up. Mopeds showed up in huge numbers and are ready to make a name for themselves in the 2 stroke racing community. Go Peds, Scooters and Quads also made a great showing, there were some really fast scooters, dare devil Gopeders, and gokarts doing power slides like madmen.
With almost 4,000 viewers from over 50 countries, the live broadcast proved to be a unique viewing experience. With an integrated chat room, an “on-demand” section with tons of videos and replays and chance to interact live with the racers and ask them questions, this is an event not to be missed!
Bookmark these pages and Watch the event live May 2nd and 3rd at :

not sure if you guys were aware of the racing over here, but it is awesome! i raced my pinasco 80 ciao last race and got 3rd in both heats out of 18 racers!
so stoked!23 april 2009 om 22:40 #147766Hallo,

Voila mate, hopefully you will be first this year.
Do you have some nice vespa-ciao.nl stickers on your ciao :lolFunny to see you on the track, whats the topspeed of your ciao now?
23 april 2009 om 23:00 #147768thanks a lot man! so helpful!
i actually have some black vespa-ciao.nl stickers, but i was saving them for when i get the bike painted!
i’m not sure what my top speed is right now, i think in the mid to high 50’s (mph).. i haven’t messed with the exhaust port on my pinasco yet though, so i think here soon i may open it up and get things flowing better!24 april 2009 om 08:18 #147769Hey man,
It must be cool to have a nice tuned ciao in the USA, because your not as bound to speed as we are * on public road’s *
Our maximum speed is like 30mph…. ( 27.96 )Or does that depend on the state you live in?
Greeeets
24 april 2009 om 14:15 #147770wha vespa ciao world wide domination:D

De budget beun tjoener: geen geld is te duur of het werkt nog niet
Link naar Mijn collectie / Projecten.24 april 2009 om 14:56 #147771this is the real stuff!
It’s a litte like our meetings and tours. But than for more people, and for more tuned mopeds.
It should be very nice to be there!
Lot’s of fun with your ciao!
18 juni 2009 om 06:43 #147784oh man, sorry i never got back to you guys! it’s been busy around here!
the ciao is ripping! somewhere around 60mph, and i have a lot more porting to do to my pinasco!
it’s so little and fun! you guys should get over here some how for the next race, i’ll let you take ciaociao out for a ride!
18 juni 2009 om 06:45 #147785oops! that was me!
18 juni 2009 om 07:25 #147786Erh, wat did you do to your cylinder again? because even though your engine is tricked out, i’d say it would’t do 60mph(if the cyl was stock).
Time to read your blog again.
edit: Well done on the exhaust port!
23 augustus 2009 om 22:56 #147763gps confirmed 63mph, and i’ve only done the exhaust port so far. more to come!
23 augustus 2009 om 23:25 #147764Wow 101km/h thats damn fast.
Whats your complete setup ? gear ratio / jet / rolls / spring etc. Respect that you got over 100km 🙂 with a RV engine.
24 augustus 2009 om 00:24 #147762i’m running the pinasco 46 with 1mm chopped off the top of the cylinder and a thick base gasket to raise the ports 1mm, and i opened up the exhaust port big time.
i run the head that came with the kit, i’ve flattened it some but not changed the squish or anything.
malossi cases, port mapped to the pinasco, otherwise standard.
malossi crank
dellorto 21phbg race carb, i milled the spigot off the back of the carb and drilled a couple holes in it and tapped them, like the 19mm carb setup for this case from malossi. i think i have a 96 main jet in it now, and it’s kind of rich.
i made my own intake plate, rather than using the malossi one. i don’t like the malossi one, it forces the fuel/air mixture through a funny S bend and hampers the flow. mine is straight through.
i run the polini variator with 3 7.7g weights and the malossi yellow spring in the rear pulley and the malossi variated ciao belt.
ktm 50 cdi ignition, i had to change the taper in the tiny flywheel to fit the malossi crank. i use the plastic fan from a kenitic flywheel (just the fan, not the whole flywheel) with a custom adapter to cool the engine.
a simonini calibrata pipe
2.5 tire in the rear
and i’ve cut off every little piece of metal i don’t need to make the bike really light.
i think that’s it, i run the stock clutch and clutch springs, nothing fancy there.
since running it last, i have lightened the variator a bit and installed lighter front forks. i will also be opening up the boost ports to be two more transfers before running it again.
the next race is sep 6! i am running out of time!you can see pictures of everything and read pretty much every little thing i’ve ever done to this ciao at ciaociao.tv
