i started to mount everything together. great feeling when everything fits.
23 februari 2018 om 09:16 #712360Nice detail that lubricate hole for the bearing. Do you also have to heat this crankcase for assembly? That extra space along the crankshaft is a good idea. 🙂 How are the kickstart teeth mounted on the shaft?
23 februari 2018 om 11:56 #712519The crank with the teeth is pressed into the minarelli crank.
An no i don’t need to heat the case. There is 0,005 room between bearings and case.
This is why it is a prototype. Next Time i make it smaller so that i have to press the bearings in. First of all everything has to fit and work, if I’m happy with that later I will make another case „Mark2“
23 februari 2018 om 13:11 #712638I see that you have enough matrial to go to “Mark 8” so that will be fine. 😀
If you use a paper gasket then you can heat the crankcases. Will A press fit work in the crates ?. Because you also have to press the bearings around the crankshaft.26 februari 2018 om 18:33 #716900its the same like in our standard cases.
The material will be enough for maybe a Mark4 but i dont know if i want to do that 🙂
even one carter is pretty much work.
here some pics from today
26 februari 2018 om 19:41 #717021Nice, I in injoyed that 😀
1 maart 2018 om 21:16 #721839Just started with the sheep metal work.
I think i will weld this on the Si Frame.
I hope that makes a not too big look at the front when its finished
1 maart 2018 om 21:29 #721842You hit two flys, whit one blow,
one, you dont see te radiator. Two
you get a ferry strong frame. 😀1 maart 2018 om 22:29 #721953Wow that looks nice! Keep up the good work!
Oldtimer fanaat1 maart 2018 om 23:20 #721970Are those plates to conseal the radiator or do they also serve a different purpose?
Interested to see how it looks when welded to the frame.
Keep up the good work
Welkom op ons forum!
Breng een bezoekje aan mijn Ciao project.2 maart 2018 om 06:32 #722214@zevenenergie: thx, you were right. it will hide the radiator. but it wont stabilize the frame because i only want to make some small weldings.
@joukel: Thx mate.@AAT: first of all i wanted to hide the Radiator a bit. otherwise it looks like a racing bike.
in my opinion it isnt hard to get a powerful engine, its more heavy to get a good working engine where you dont see it on the fist look if its heavy tuned.
The second reason for the sheets are to guide the air into the radiator.
but we will see 🙂 this is just the first try, i also hope it will look not that bad at the end hehe
3 maart 2018 om 16:42 #724353Fits more and more like a glove.
Without the cooler its pretty empty space.
with the cooler mounted it looks pretty good i think
3 maart 2018 om 17:00 #724372This is one of the best projects I’ve seen for years! Keep up the good work!
3 maart 2018 om 20:26 #724441Its getting there. Cant wait to see/hear it run
4 maart 2018 om 00:05 #724609When reading and viewing this project, it’s screams for a bigger faster cylinder. 😈
When you’ve tested this Marc-one and this resulted in a positive run. I’m curious to know which cylinder you will choose next?
