Yes on the nut there was someone on the forum here who had done that. I do not know who did that and I can not find the topic anymore. (someone else maybe?) I wonder how much of a problem it is wen the pump is not working if you stand stil.
I also have my doubts on an o ring, but with such a smalldiameter pump like polinie it may work.

Round strings

they actually used for transport and not for propulsion but who knows, what a 5 or 6 mm thick string does. You often see a toothed belt on scooters. I think slip is the big problem.

I am interested in your thoughts here.20 april 2018 om 18:47 #771301uhhhh this picture is very interesting, never saw something like that.
i think we will see how its going to work 😀today i measured the axle which i have done and there we see its wobbling 0,02mm… by the way, the original malossi does same hehe
new bearings in it and it feels great, alot better than original.
The same with the clutch, new bearings and sealing, great!here can you see how i want to mount the pump.
bad for me that i gave the exhaust also to the sandblaster, now i dont know how much space i have between exhaust pump and later between the tube and the exhaust. grmllllwe will see…
and if im very lucky my friend the laser man can make me next week my engine fram 2.0 with some special partsPleas dont wonder, there comes more space between the ring and the frame 🙂 just cut it with the flex
20 april 2018 om 19:06 #771304Wow, that is nice to look at 😀
But I think i,s slipery wen wet.21 april 2018 om 20:52 #771328Well, we will see 🙂
The Pump is finally mounted, you can tight the ring through pushing the base to the front or you can luft the pump up.
I hope it will fit with the exhaust, i have to get it back from the sandblasting guy, hopefull it fits good!same with the 2 belt bearing, i hope that this is not to tight, maybe i will also try it to put the belt on the other side, so that the bearings are between the belt, now the belt is between the bearings if you know what i mean 🙂
21 april 2018 om 23:57 #771331It does,t look racey at all 😉
Just some questions that went through my head:
Are the rollers there because the right size belt is not available?
Is it an idea to make the rollers a bit curved so that the belt stays nicely in the middle?
Is it better to use only 1 roll on the side that does not pull?23 april 2018 om 13:00 #771371aaaalrighty thaaan 🙂
Question 1, no it is not because of the legth, its beause the belt is jumping up and down like crazy.
Question 2, no this isnt possible because the belt is walking to the frame if you are getting faster.
hard to explain, i will show you at vct 🙂
The 3 question is a good idea, i just made direct 2 peaces, if it works also with one on the loose belt side (the upper one) i will try hehe24 april 2018 om 19:10 #771448Damn, i had to take my things back from the sand blaster, i will give it tomorrow somebody else.
So here some Pics from the last days.
Fit the Pump a little bit different because i made the exhaust to close to the engine 😀
looks now a little bit steam punky, but this will work good i think.
Sure it can be better but its enough for the first drives.Next project was to fit the Koso sensor to the fork. looks great and works fine!
also i found a nice space for the Batterie. i will make a sheep metal on the top so its closed and safe for water and dirt.24 april 2018 om 22:30 #7714534 bolts will definitely keep that sensor in place 😆
I think you found the best place for the battery, not the most accessable place but completely out of sight which I think is way more important
Do you think you’ll get everything ready for the VCT?

i think it will be more than close.
I just send it to another sandblaster, and he will be ready on monday.so the plan is like that:
on Week 18: (next week)
Paint the first primer and Fit some last parts at the frame
Week 19:
Holiday on the Nürburgring to the 24H race
Week 20: become sober from one week party. and paint the final colour
Week 21: remount everything
Week 22: adjust the engine setup and drive the VCTthis will be damn close!
lets pray for for getting done everything.27 april 2018 om 18:52 #771530ready for primer 🙂 whoop whoop.
The sandblaster was an asshole, so many places which are not good blasted.
tomorrow it will be like the hole day grinding and grinding and grinding….28 april 2018 om 09:18 #771542That’s a tight planning, time to focus 🙂
My experiences with sandblasters isn’t good as well but it gives such a nice result that it’s well worth it.If you still have to remove quit a lot of paint you might consider using paint stripper (chemicals). It can save you a lot of time, and while that stuff is doing its job you can do other things 😉
