29 mei 2011 om 08:02 #146159i drive whit that exact setup:)
for me personal it’s an pretty good setup:) the cilinder fits perfect on a speedengine
it has enough power and speed. ( 75 – 80 kmh )
Mike29 mei 2011 om 08:10 #146160thanks!!!
are you sure there is no problem with that is about one millimeter gap between the cylinder skirt and the block?
if it would be difficult to understand what I mean, I can send a picture.
sorry for bad english

29 mei 2011 om 12:00 #146161you have to use gaskets to make it air-tight. when you dont use any gaskets you will lose compression. buy some gaskets online and you will be ready to go i guess!
the setup should run just fine, good luck!29 mei 2011 om 12:48 #146162Hey!
I mean inside the block. I have gaskets. 🙂
29 mei 2011 om 12:51 #146163Can you post a picture of what u mean? Prevents miscommunication and is clear to everybody 🙂
29 mei 2011 om 13:48 #146153I use a piece of paper to show.
This is how 46mm cylinder would look like mounted. (no spaces between the cylinder skirt and blocks. there is only space where the fuel will be traveling.)

and this is how it would look like with Polini 43mm cylinder. there is a gap all the way around the cylinder skirt. will this cause problems?

29 mei 2011 om 13:52 #146156Jabo do you mean the difference between your carter and the cilinder?
Your 43mm cilinder wil stay in place because the three studs in the carter.
When everything is bolted together and the nuts are screwed firmly in place.
The engine wil be air tight and vibration free because,
the piston will slide the cilinder because it has two pistonrings.
My opinion jugded on mister Mike is that it is save, and you do not cope with any performance loss.carter means engineblock if the story is not clear
29 mei 2011 om 14:02 #146157It’s completely normal!
The Polini cases are already bored, so that you can mount 43+ cyilinders, like 46 and 47 cylinders! Named ”80cc”
Those cyilinders have a skirt of 50 millimeter..
And the 43 cylinders have a skirt diameter of 46 millimeter 😉So, no problem 😉
29 mei 2011 om 14:03 #146158yes.
was afraid that the studs was not enough, and that the engine block would be in contact with the cylinder skirt for the stabilization of the cylinder. or something like that.
thanks for the help! appreciated!
29 mei 2011 om 16:20 #146164There won’t be any problem fitting/running this thermic kit on this housing 😉
Enojy mounting it 😉
29 mei 2011 om 16:23 #146165thanks so much. now will I be able to sleep well!
29 mei 2011 om 19:50 #146166No , you mustn’t 😉
Only after you completed assembling the engine 😀Maybe you should start a project here at the site? Some pictures about the moped, bit information of yourself.. Your moped-career…
The plans, modificiations, the ups and downs,… you name it
Good luck!
29 mei 2011 om 21:26 #146167opgelost denk:)
