Hallo everyone 😀
I just made my account, actually i am from Denmark, hope thats fine? :conWell, I would ask, has anyone here experience with the brand Proma? becasue il soon buy a old vespa ciao, witch im going to make look good and tun it, a winther project.
i like the kit because i get many thing and then it its very cheap, its only cost 77,14£, yea its very cheap an i know the kit is some china crap, but does any here has experience with their cylinder kits? promaIknow i can get mallosi and all thos queality tun things, but that is really expensive for me, and i cant get that in denmark, i have to buy it on other sides, many nederlands sides have Ciao tun, poline malossi etc. But to get it send to denmark are expensive.
Hope you understand, despite my bad English :'(
By the way, how fast do you think it will run with this kit? know you can not really answer such a question 🙂
22 juli 2011 om 22:45 #146187Proma isn’t china crap, but a good brand from the old days. Proma don’t make kits anymore for a long time.
But, how fast do you want to go on your Ciao? Because this kit isn’t the fastest. You can let it run at about 70km/h when you tune the carter and a smaller poulie i think;)

If it can reach the 70 km/h with this kit would be super. So can i always add some more later, clutch, etc.
does Proma not make tun anymore? are they are bankrupt? the website have this tun kit in stock
23 juli 2011 om 02:21 #14618970km/h is possible but a little difficult with this kit.
But first of all does this ad raise some questions.:?
I don’t believe this is a 15mm carburetor. Should be a 12 or 13mm SHA carb i think.
Therefor still possible to reach a high end speed of 70km/hCylinder is a good one but not for very high rpm’s. You need to get some longer transmission with it.
Also the exhaust isn’t the best out there. Performs well on small cylinders but I’m not sure what it does on this low end cylinder. In combination with high end cylinders I was rather disappointed.

Why dont you think its a 15mm kabu?

They also sell it seperate. And a text that says its the biggest kaburator for Ciao/bravo without any moficifatons ect23 juli 2011 om 09:38 #146191The hole in the carb looks like 13mm, and beside that 15mm has no use on a original engine because the inlet hole on you carter can not be bigger than 13mm.
@martino
That exhaust set a 1,5kw on the roller with a 43mm DR.
But this was without the silincer, with silincer it was around 1,2kw.
So with a normal silincer it,s not a very bad exhaust.23 juli 2011 om 15:10 #146193Anyway the carter can drill up so the hole gets bigger and therefore get more benzin thought it, or are there a carter you will recommed? witch can be used on a standard ciao block? 😀
A carter is the one thats placed between the block and carburettor right? its called Studsen in danish
23 juli 2011 om 15:23 #146194The carter IS the block, what you mean is the inlet.
You can drill out the inlet safely up till 13 mm.That carb looks like 13mm like Speedbuxy said and that’s enough for a standard carter.
The 15mm carb looks different. If you drill up the exhaust hole in the cilinder 2 mm up and open the boosterports, you can get higher speeds like 70 km/ph
There are “how to’s” on the site for tuning your cilinder and carters but they are in dutch.http://www.vespa-ciao.nl/page.php?id=195

Check mijn perso!24 juli 2011 om 10:50 #146197Offtopic; What site was this?
Maybe they have other nice Proma-stuff?
Proma doesn’t make any stuff nowadays, so it would be nice if they have still some gadgets, or silencers,..
But, it’s a nice combo !

http://www.west-import.dk/
The website looks very old, and the system they use could need a BIG update but dont worry, you got what you order 😀
But i dont think that they deliver to other countries than Danmark.26 juli 2011 om 00:10 #146199I did NOT get what I ordered… All I got was a big attitude!
A few years back I ordered a Proma Gun with this webshop, very surprised they had it. It was quite a gamble because I did not have any experience with these people and their email responses were slow/vague.
I took the gamble nevertheless and ordered the Proma Gun. I made the payment and after a week or so I got the package.
Inside I found a Proma Circuit. I contacted them by email and told them I received the wrong exhaust. They told me that what I had received was the Proma Gun 😕 I showed them pictures of the one I received (the Circuit) and that it is not the Gun and I asked if I could send it back. They replied that I could return it but, they said, I would not receive anything back.
I remember they were very unprofessional in their email correspondence, even rude. In the end it came down to this. I could keep my exhaust and deal with it. Or I could send it back, not get an other one in return and not get my money back.
I do not trust my money to this webshop. Never again.
PS. This summer I will be on holiday near Grasten, Denmark, only 20km away from they adress in Padborg. Maybe I pay them a visit 😉

Pay them a visit and say what? Crying for getting the wrong part? Proma Gun is a rare object, already in those days 😉
Now, backwards, you should be rather hapy you received a REAL Proma Circuit, i hope you still have it, because it was probably delivered with the bag, and the Proma Adhesive, ..You could get 150 for a Brand new Proma in its bag 😉
But, No offence!!
PS: Now i see the site, i think even the PRoma Cilinders for BWS/BOOSTER won’t be delivered anymore. Site is really out of date ;). + the sites gives me the same feeling as http://www.50CC.nl ..
Regards26 juli 2011 om 10:28 #146198No, pay them a visit and see if I can get some cool items 🙂 To check out their store, buy a real proma kit or something. The fact I got the wrong item 6 years ago now I cant do anything about and I dont care now anymore. And yes, even back then the gun was rare, very rare. This was the only store that carried the item.
And yes, the Circuit got delivered in the original bag but back then JMPB sold the original Proma Circuit for 25 cheaper than what I paid for it in Denmark. So it was nothing special. Second hand Proma CC’s in good condition sold for nothing more than 30 euros. Now a completely rusted one starts at 40 euros…. (at least; some ppl dare to ask that price)
But no, I used the exhaust (and fell in love with it =) ) and sold it with the moped after 1 month of use because I got tired of working on the Si.
So after all I had a moped that made auto wheelies at 40km/h when fully opening the gas in the Proma CC boost area and I truely madly loved it so in the end it didn’t realy matter.
Yet still, it was the attitude and complete rudeness of this store that made me remeber it all. They realy said sorry, not our promblem, fuck off.
26 juli 2011 om 18:06 #146203Yes , their attitude was not to talk about.. Totally agree 😉
Nice, those pictures! Regrettable that you don’t have it anymore.. You still have the plastic bag? 🙂
So back in 2005, JMPB could still deliver the real Proma? Because at some fora from 2001,2003 i could already read that Proma wasn’t producing units anymore back then.. 🙁I wonder why they stopped, weren’t those pipes good enough in the Scooter-world?
